Assignee:
Dionex Corporation - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G01N 30/02
G01N 30/84
US Classification:
73 6155, 422256
Abstract:
An ion chromatography housing for easy insertion and removal of a plurality of component cartridges is disclosed. Various components of the IC system are provided in the separate component cartridges. The IC housing includes a capillary separation column and may be connected to conventional-scale components of an IC system. A plurality of IC housings may be provided in a compartment with one or more separation columns. The columns may be capillary columns or conventional-scale columns. A method of using the ion chromatography system is also disclosed. The IC system may be utilized to perform two-dimensional ion chromatographic separation.

US Patent:
20200240968, Jul 30, 2020
Filed:
Jan 25, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/258285
Inventors:
- Sunnyvale CA, US
Sheetal BHARDWAJ - Fremont CA, US
Glenn M. KUSE - Pleasanton CA, US
International Classification:
G01N 30/96
Abstract:
A suppressor for use in reducing a background signal while detecting analytes in a liquid sample for ion chromatography is described. The suppressor includes a central channel and two flanking regenerant channels. The central channel is formed with an eluent channel plate including a central cutout portion having a peripheral boundary portion. The peripheral boundary portion includes a recessed eluent plate height that is less than the eluent plate height. The peripheral boundary portion includes two or more notches or protrusions. An eluent screen is disposed in the central cutout portion, in which a peripheral border of the eluent screen has two or more corresponding notches or corresponding protrusions to the eluent channel plate.

US Patent:
20180321197, Nov 8, 2018
Filed:
Jul 16, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/036548
Inventors:
- Sunnyvale CA, US
Glenn M. KUSE - Pleasanton CA, US
Rong LIN - Santa Clara CA, US
Sheetal BHARDWAJ - Fremont CA, US
International Classification:
G01N 30/02
G01N 30/92
B01D 15/36
Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting analytes in a liquid sample may include an elongated primary channel through which an ionic species flows, the primary channel extending through a primary channel member, a first regenerant channel through which a regenerant flows, the first regenerant channel extending adjacent to the primary channel and being formed in a first block, a first charged barrier having exchangeable ions capable of passing ions of only one charge, positive or negative, and of blocking bulk liquid flow, the first charged barrier disposed between the primary channel member and the first block for separating the primary channel from the first regenerant channel, and a first sealing member disposed between the first charged barrier and the first block defining the first regenerant channel.
