How do I practice medicine? SImply put, I work to develop a partnership with my patients. Probably the most important thing I need to know is how your physical problem affects your life- more specifically your quality of life. My goal is to develop a dialogue with you, through which I strive to help you understand your unique orthopaedic pathology and your treatment choices. Many patients I see for their orthopaedic problems can be managed with conservative care- in other words, just because you come into the orthopaedic "surgery" office, does not mean you will necessarily need surgery. If a non-surgical option is available, I will explain that treatment in detail. If we, collectively, decide that surgery is the best treatment choice for you, we provide you with the resources and education to help you understand the entire process- from pre-operative treatment, to the surgery itself and then through the recovery process.
