Abstract:
A shredder including a shredding mechanism, a housing at least partially enclosing the shredding mechanism, and a receptacle that receives and contains shredded material is provided. The shredder may further includes a compactor including a ram that, when actuated, moves through the receptacle to compress shredded material in the receptacle. The shredder may further include a foot operated lever coupled to the compactor to actuate the ram. The compactor may also include a scissor mechanism that guides the ram through the receptacle.

Abstract:
An automatic switch control includes a wheel member having a cam member with a ramp surface. A first plunger mechanism has a first spring member that is operable to urge a first cam follower into sliding engagement with the ramp surface. A second plunger mechanism has a second spring member that is operable to urge a second cam follower into sliding engagement with the ramp surface. The second plunger mechanism is disposed on an opposite side of the toggle from the first plunger mechanism when the automatic switch control is installed over the switch. An electric motor is operable to rotate the cam member to position the first plunger mechanism in a retracted condition and to position the second plunger mechanism in an extended condition that is operable to move the toggle to the on position.

Abstract:
A valved closure for a liquid container is disclosed. The valved closure comprises a closure body having a base and a spout. A generally tubular insert is provided with an upper portion attached to the lower portion of the base. The insert body is sized to fit within a dispensing port of the liquid container and defines an insert passageway in fluid communication with the spout. The insert has at least one flexible flange extending outwardly therefrom for resiliently engaging the inner wall of the container and seal the closure to the container. A valve is retained between the insert and the closure body to operatively open and close the fluid passage through the closure from the container.
