About:
The Measure of Character From the time he was quite young, Reynolds was raised to believe that a person’s character is always best measured through the values and ethics he or she upholds. The lesson didn’t come only from home and school. Between the ages of six and 17, Reynolds spent a month each summer at a camp that reinforced this philosophy by rewarding responsible and ethical behavior as much as teamwork and camping skills. “You had to complete a number of steps,” he remembers. “Every year I looked forward to the next one. To finish them all was a great honor and a tremendous accomplishment, and the lessons I learned in the process are still a part of my life today.” A Local Connection Reynolds is a native of Columbus with deep roots in the area. His strong connection to the community is what drives him in his career as a real estate professional. With a unique specialization in the older homes of Columbus, Reynolds is devoted to ensuring the preservation and integrity of these unique properties. Reynolds understands the importance of giving back and staying involved in the community. He serves on the Board for the Historic Columbus Foundation and the Board of Historic & Architectural Review. He is also Chairman for Uptown Columbus Inc., which is a group dedicated to revitalizing the Uptown district. As a real estate professional, it’s clear Reynolds is very committed to ensuring that buyers and sellers of these special properties have the information and resources they need to make the most of their precious investment.

Reynolds has made it his mission to ensure that buyers and sellers alike have the tools to make informed decisions, including advice, recommendations and referrals for everything from cosmetic issues of landscaping, paint and plaster to updating and upgrading appliances and infrastructure. At the heart of his commitment to his clients is Reynolds' dedication to not just preserve but also enhance the special charm and character of each property.

About:
The sun is just beginning to rise, and Reynolds Bickerstaff is on his early morning run through one of Columbus’s many historic districts. It’s one of his favorite ways to start the day. As the sun climbs higher and the layers of darkness are lifted, the distinctive charm of each older home is revealed. On a single street, Reynolds jogs past a Craftsmen-style bungalow next to a Spanish mission-style home, a late Victorian alongside a Georgian Revival. As this talented businessman sees it, the true measure of quality in these homes is in their unique character and exceptional craftsmanship, which have withstood the test of time. It’s no surprise to learn that Reynolds feels the same way about measuring the quality of a person’s character—especially his own. To finish them all was a great honor and a tremendous accomplishment, and the lessons I learned in the process are still a part of my life today.” A Solid Foundation A native of Columbus whose roots date back to the late 19th century, Reynolds’ family remains the solid bedrock of his foundation. For over a hundred years, Bickerstaff Clay Products was a strong presence in the community, with several plants throughout Georgia and Alabama that manufactured bricks and clay pieces used in construction. Indeed, you’re unlikely to find a structure in either state built before 1995 that doesn’t have a Bickerstaff product in its construction. The company was sold in 1995, but its success and longevity are a direct result of the honesty and integrity demonstrated by the Bickerstaff family in every business interaction. Reynolds saw both his grandfather and his father model these values and ethics every day. A Legacy Continued Reynolds upholds the very same values and ethics in his career as a real estate professional specializing in the older homes of Columbus. With a family legacy dating back to the 1890’s, Reynolds is devoted to ensuring the preservation and integrity of these unique properties. He serves on the Board for the Historic Columbus Foundation and as Promotions Chair for Uptown Columbus Inc, a group dedicated to revitalizing the Uptown district. Reynolds is just as committed to ensuring that buyers and sellers of these special properties have the information and resources they need to make the most of their precious investment.
