Abstract:
Analytic workflows for performing data analysis and other related operations are stored in an analytic workflow library and provided to a user upon selection of data from a data store. A workflow manager may rank the workflows based on a number of ranking algorithms prior to presentation. User selected workflows are executed in conjunction with relevant external applications and the analysis result provided to the user through the user's client application used to select the data. Workflows and associated interfaces may be received from a variety of sources and integrated into the workflow framework for enhancing data analysis.

Architecture for providing easy and convenient configuration of a single-purpose application (SPA). A web-based SPA is retained on a client device for viewing specific information provided from a web server. A web-based identification component obtains an identity associated with the client device or device user. A website user interface enables the user to enter configuration information of the SPA. Subsequently, the configured SPA receives the requested information from the web server based on the identity. A storage component stores the configuration information on a remote web server and/or the client device for backup purposes. Abstract:
Automatic trend analysis is provided on a dataset. Upon selection of a data cell or chart point within a data representation, a trend chart is automatically generated in order to demonstrate how the data within the selection trends over time. The system may automatically configure the trend chart based on the metadata of a data source associated with a selected data such that no input or configuration is needed by a user. The system may identify the time hierarchies and other data attributes included in the metadata of the data source associated with a selected data cell and may automatically configure the axis settings and the trend lines according to metadata of the data source. The trend chart may also be configured to display multiple trend lines for comparing multiple data set trends over a specified time period.

Abstract:
A multi-dimensional data reporting system presents a data report based on a data model, creates a callout report model based on a cell in the data report, and presents an instance of the callout report model in a callout interface. In one implementation of the multi-dimensional data reporting system, upon receiving a callout control associated with selected cell of the data report, the system retrieves the multi-dimensional data associated with the selected cell, builds the callout report model based on the retrieved multi-dimensional data, and presents an instance of the callout report model in a callout interface. In one implementation, the callout interface provides the capability to change the type and the dimensionality of the instance of the callout report model in the callout interface. The callout interface also allows inserting the instance into the data report and to update the data report based on the instance.
