Inventors:
- Atlanta GA, US
Vivek Mhatre - Bellevue WA, US
Assignee:
AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P. - Atlanta GA
International Classification:
H04N 21/2665
H04N 21/258
H04N 21/436
H04N 21/488
H04N 21/431
H04N 21/41
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a media server having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate sending a data stream to a display device. The data stream may include an identification thereof. Upon receiving the identification from a user, the media server associates the data stream with the user. The media server may send to the user, a listing of the media services to which the user has subscribed. Upon receiving, from the user, a selection of a selected media service, the media server streams the selected media service to the display device over the data stream. The data stream may be controlled with the user for as long as the media server detects the user in a vicinity of the display device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

US Patent:
20210051195, Feb 18, 2021
Filed:
Nov 2, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/086841
Inventors:
- Atlanta GA, US
Henry Deccio - Bellevue WA, US
Srikanth Tirumala - Redmond WA, US
Vivek Mhatre - Bellevue WA, US
International Classification:
H04L 29/08
Abstract:
A virtual network manager system comprising a server in communication with a node, the server including at least one virtual network function (VNF), a cluster manager in communication with the server, the cluster manager is configured to detect a change in a health of the VNF on the server and when the change in the health of the VNF occurs generate a signal to a node to perform an action, the action including at least one of throttling traffic to the VNF, rerouting traffic to an alternate VNF, changing a weight value for traffic to the VNF, and generating an alert indicating a relative capacity change at the VNF.

US Patent:
20200351190, Nov 5, 2020
Filed:
Jul 20, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/932907
Inventors:
- Atlanta GA, US
Vivek Mhatre - Bellevue WA, US
Ryan Redfern - Cerritos CA, US
Assignee:
AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P. - Atlanta GA
International Classification:
H04L 12/26
H04L 12/46
H04L 12/24
Abstract:
Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for virtual probes. A processor can execute a probe orchestrator service. The processor can obtain traffic monitoring data that describes traffic associated with a logical node. The logical node can include two or more devices that can exchange information as internal traffic. The processor can analyze the traffic monitoring data to determine one of the two or more devices hosts external traffic that involves an external device that resides outside of the logical node. In response to a determination that the one of the two or more devices hosts the external traffic, the processor can trigger instantiation of a virtual probe at the device of the plurality of devices.

Management Of Iot Devices In A Virtualized Network

View page
US Patent:
20200210221, Jul 2, 2020
Filed:
Mar 10, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/814090
Inventors:
- Atlanta GA, US
Vivek Mhatre - Bellevue WA, US
International Classification:
G06F 9/455
H04L 12/24
H04L 29/08
H04L 29/12
Abstract:
Specialized, service optimized virtual machines are assigned to handle specific types of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. An IoT context mapping policy engine within the context of a virtualized network function manages IoT context mapping policy functions in load balancers. The IoT context mapping policy functions select service optimized virtual machines based on IoT device IDs, and assign those virtual machines to handle the devices. The IoT context mapping policy functions provide load data to the IoT context mapping policy engine. Based on the load data, the IoT context mapping policy engine maintains appropriate scaling by creating or tearing down instances of the virtual machines.

Mobile Edge Computing For Data Network Traffic

View page
US Patent:
20200178149, Jun 4, 2020
Filed:
Dec 3, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/207379
Inventors:
- Atlanta GA, US
Vivek Mhatre - Bellevue WA, US
Rajendra Prasad Kodaypak - Sammamish WA, US
Jiansong Wang - Lincroft NJ, US
Ryan Redfern - Cerritos CA, US
International Classification:
H04W 40/02
H04W 60/04
Abstract:
The described technology is generally directed towards selectively steering wireless network data packet traffic to a network edge cloud, which reduces backhaul bandwidth and facilitates ultra-low latency communications. In one aspect, upon receiving a request for data communication by a user equipment in the wireless network, location information is used to override a centralized access point name (e.g., 4G serving gateway/packet gateway, S/PGW, or 5G user plane function) with an edge-located access point name (edge 4G S/PGW or edge 5G user plane function). This facilitates the data communication between the user equipment and an edge-located access point device associated with the edge-located access point name.
