Filed:
Feb 14, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/367255
Inventors:
Andrew Pennella - Stamford CT, US
Christine Ciccone - New Haven CT, US
David Coffin - Hamden CT, US
Thomas Follo - Milford CT, US
Brian Foster - Trumbull CT, US
Vincent Motta - Norwalk CT, US

Paul Schaefer - Durham CT, US
Assignee:
Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
B26B021/14
B26B021/52
US Classification:
030/047000, 030/050000, 030/526000, 030/527000
Abstract:
A razor assembly is provided that includes a razor cartridge with one or more razor blades, a shaving aid body, a handle, and a linkage pivotally connected to the handle. The linkage is connected to the razor cartridge and the shaving aid body in a manner such that the razor cartridge and the shaving aid body are moveable relative to the handle. Movement of one of the razor cartridge or the shaving aid body in a first direction causes the other of the razor cartridge or the shaving aid body to move in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction. As a result, the positions of the shaving aid body and the razor cartridge are continuously adjusted to maintain the contact surface of the shaving aid body approximately co-planar with the cutting edges of the razor blades within the razor cartridge.

US Patent:
20030213130, Nov 20, 2003
Filed:
Mar 28, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/402088
Inventors:
Vincent Motta - Norwalk CT, US
International Classification:
B26B021/00
US Classification:
030/050000, 030/526000
Abstract:
A razor in which an intermediate linkage () is interposed between handle () or frame () and a razor cartridge (). The cartridge () is mounted to a pivot about a first axis () relative to the intermediate linkage (); and the intermediate linkage () is mounted to pivot about a second axis () relative to the handle () or frame (). The intermediate linkage () is resiliently biased toward and extreme counterclockwise position relative to the handle or frame; and the cartridge is resiliently biased to a neutral position relative to the intermediate linkage. The two axes () are each parallel to the cutting edges of blades () carried by the cartridge ().

Dispenser For Bonded Razor Blade Cartridges

View page
US Patent:
41732855, Nov 6, 1979
Filed:
Jul 31, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/929484
Inventors:
Ernest F. Kiraly - Fairfield CT
Vincent C. Motta - Bronx NY
Assignee:
Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
B65D 700
B65D 5700
B65D 8562
US Classification:
206356
Abstract:
A dispenser having a plurality of row-arrayed compartments each for releasably retaining a razor blade cartridge therewithin. The opposite ends of the compartments are respectively formed by a partition wall and yieldable, free-standing retention means positioned such that the end of one compartment is not in common with the opposite end of the next compartment, thereby making the compartments independent of one another to minimize the cumulative effects of oversize cartridge tolerances. The free-standing fingers also reduce the force required to manually load cartridges into the dispenser during assembly.

Flexible Razor Unit Employing Corrugated Spacer

View page
US Patent:
52769674, Jan 11, 1994
Filed:
Apr 29, 1993
Appl. No.:

Warner-Lambert Company - Morris Plains NJ
International Classification:
A26B 2100
US Classification:
30 49
Abstract:
A flexible, twin-blade razor unit employing a corrugated spacer for providing improved cutting effectiveness. The corrugations increase the rigidity of the blades, which, in turn, decreases the amplitude of any vibration introduced into the blades.

Flexible Razor Unit Employing Embossed Blades
