Senior third baseman Trey Lipscomb hit his 12th home run of the season to get the Vols on the board in the bottom of the fifth, but Mizzou scratched out a run in the top of the six to quickly re-establish a two-run lead at 3-1.
t's maybe not talked about as much as others. Will Mabrey kind of seems to be the guy, the development conversation piece. And then Trey Lipscomb, of course, is a guy who redshirted and has kind of bided his time, although I think Covid kind of got him a little bit as far as playing time goes.
But we kind of got to where we were at the end of the rope there with how many guys we've got left. But ol Corty Lawson and Trey Lipscomb, they used to be pitchers. Those guys probably think they can go get three outs there.
