Abstract:
A system for processing payment transactions and social features from a messaging or chat application with an integrated payment application. An example embodiment includes: integrating a payment application into a client messaging application; linking a payment button with the payment application; receiving a payment request through the client messaging application from a client user via the payment button; using the payment application to identify an account on a payment site that corresponds to the payment request; and performing a payment transaction with the identified account corresponding to the payment request at the payment site via the payment application. The embodiment is configured to facilitate social sharing functions including: inviting users to download the payment application, sharing a contact list among a plurality of payment application users, inviting users to chat from the payment application, and updating a user profile in the client messaging application by the payment application.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing content data at a computing device is provided. Icon data associated with an application is rendered at a display device, thereby providing rendered icon data at the display device, the icon data and the application stored at a memory. Content data associated with the application is received the content data for rendering within the application when the application is executed by a processor and rendered at the display device. A portion of the rendered icon data is updated such that the rendered icon data comprises at least a subset of the content data. When the rendered icon data is actuated, the application is responsively executed at the processor such that the content data is rendered at the display device within a rendering of the application.

Abstract:
A method includes determining that a chat text provided in a chat session between first and second chat application instances is directed to a transaction negotiation, the chat session for facilitating communication between the chat application instances. The method includes determining, in an image associated with the transaction, first and second image elements that are associated with the transaction. Responsive to the determination that the chat text is directed to the negotiation of the transaction, the method can generate an invoice for a first transaction portion that is associated with the first element. The method can provide the invoice, via the chat session, to the first and/or chat application instance. Responsive to determining that the first transaction portion is performed, the method can determines to indicate, via the image, that the first element is unavailable for additional transactions.

Abstract:
There is provided a system and method of automated processing of online social networking data for integration with an inventory management system. A merchant or other selling entity may post data to a social networking platform, where the posted data includes an item for sale. A transaction processor may process the post data to determine the item for sale with a backend merchant inventory management system or other sales platform. The transaction processor may then poll comments to the posted data to determine whether any users are requesting to purchase the item. If the transaction processor identifies a purchase request, the transaction processor may interface with the merchant's sales platform to determine availability, cost, and other parameters, and may generate an invoice for the item. The invoice may be communicated to the user, and the transaction processor may update the merchant with results from processing the invoice.
