Abstract:
A system, method, device and interface for selecting data for a wireless device. The system, method, device and interface provide for categorizing selected data based on two or more categories, determining an action based on the categorization, and transferring the selected data and the determined action to the wireless device. In one embodiment, the categorization of the selected data may also be transferred to the wireless device. The categorizing of the selected data may include receiving input related to the categorizing, and altering a categorizing algorithm utilized in performing the categorization in response to the received input. The input may include a new category and/or a change in an existing category.

Abstract:
The present system relates to a device for imparting control to an application program. The device comprises a first sensor for carrying out a brainwave measurement when said first sensor is in contact with a user's head. The device further comprising a second sensor adapted to generate an output signal obtained from a measurement by the second sensor, when can for instance be a gyro sensor or a camera. The device is operable to use the output signal for imparting control to the application program in case the brainwave measurement falls outside a given interval of brainwave measurement values. The present system thus discloses a device that has an increased accuracy compared to the prior art devices.

Application-based selection of a network is disclosed. An electronic device provides data connectivity. Toll-free application data network access is disclosed. Abstract:
The present system relates to a server providing data connectivity to an electronic device. The server includes a memory storing data connectivity policy information for the electronic device. The policy information defines a data traffic threshold marking a change in data traffic billing for data traffic the electronic device may exchange with service provider(s) over a telecommunication network. The server has a receiver, which monitors data traffic from instances of applications installed on the electronic device, and has a usage monitor, which maintains a first quantity indicative of the monitored data traffic. A data connectivity policy manager detects that the first quantity exceeds the data traffic threshold of the data connectivity policy, determines a first application requesting such traffic, retrieves a second application linked to the first application, the second application having data traffic billing specific to the second application, and presents the second application to the electronic device.

Abstract:
Secure toll-free application data network access is disclosed. Respective limits for registered traffic (e.g., application provider addresses; content type; transmission time; location; etc.) and non-registered traffic (e.g., all other traffic) may be associated with an application eligible for toll-free connectivity. As traffic is received via the toll-free connection, the data is inspected to determine first whether the traffic is registered or non-registered traffic. If registered, the quantity of data is deducted from the allowable data amount specified during provisioning for registered traffic. If non-registered, the quantity of data is deducted from the allowable amount specified during provisioning for non-registered traffic. Accordingly, a toll-free application provider can agree to sponsor a limited quantity of arbitrary traffic which may be generated as content viewed through the wrapped application.

The device includes a connection detector configured to receive a data connectivity request from an application installed on the device. The device further includes an authorization transceiver. The authorization transceiver is configured to transmit an authorization request to a service provider associated with the application via a telecommunication connection, the authorization request including an application identifier for the application and an operator identifier for the service provider. The authorization transceiver is further configured to receive an authorization response indicative of operator specific billing for the application from the service provider. The device also includes a connection manager configured to establish data connectivity via the telecommunication connection based on the authorization response.
