US Patent:
20110264106, Oct 27, 2011
Filed:
Apr 22, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/765574
Inventors:
Andris Taube - Gainesville FL, US
Matthew M. Quest - Bothell WA, US
Sophie Marcoux - Gainesville FL, US
International Classification:
A61B 17/26
US Classification:
606113
Abstract:
A snare for snaring an article in a vessel of a vascular system or other body vessel. The snare includes a core cable having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion. The snare also includes first, second and third loops each having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, and a mid-portion therebetween formed by spaced apart first and second sides connected together at the distal end portion of the loop. The mid-portions of each of the loops cross over mid portions of one of the other two loops, and the loops are only connected together at their proximal end portions, where they are gathered together and attached to the distal end portion of the core cable. The loops are movable between an open position and a closed position.

Biopsy Device Handle

US Patent:
20180153525, Jun 7, 2018
Filed:
Dec 5, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/369645
Inventors:
- Plano TX, US
Scott P Jarnagin - Seattle WA, US
Adam Storey - Seattle WA, US
Sophie Marcoux - Gainesville FL, US
Assignee:
Argon Medical Devices, Inc. - Plano TX
International Classification:
A61B 10/02
Abstract:
A biopsy device handle having a biased firing mechanism activated by side and rear triggers. The firing mechanism has a longitudinally sliding deflecting portion including a post. The post is disposed within a channel and retained by a catch. The deflecting portion deflects transversely when transverse force is applied to a transverse face by the side trigger or when a longitudinal force is applied to an inclined face by the rear trigger to release the post from the catch.

Retractable Centesis Needle

View page
US Patent:
20170135726, May 18, 2017
Filed:
Nov 13, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/941443
Inventors:
- Plano TX, US
Kevin Hess - Chicago IL, US
Sophie Marcoux - Gainesville FL, US
Assignee:
Argon Medical Devices, Inc. - Plano TX
International Classification:
A61B 17/34
A61M 1/00
A61M 25/06
A61M 27/00
A61M 39/24
Abstract:
A retractable centesis needle comprises a hollow, sharp tipped outer cannula extending from a housing. The outer cannula is generally tube-like and open at both ends to form a channel into a cavity in the housing. A blunt tipped inner cannula is disposed within the channel and capable of sliding away from the housing to an extended state and toward the housing to a refracted state. The inner cannula is biased toward the extended state by a first spring disposed in the housing. A second spring also disposed in the housing acts in the same direction as the first spring when the inner cannula is in a fully retracted state. However, the second spring does not bias the inner cannula in any direction when the inner cannula is in a fully extended state.
