Abstract:
An information processing apparatus and associated method for analyzing investment information. An input unit receives a financial request and one or more investment variables relating to the financial indicator and a description vector unit generates at least two vectors containing the one or more investment variables based on the financial request. A description vector similarity unit then calculates a similarity value by comparing the at least two vectors and an investment analysis unit analyzes the similarity value and the financial request, and determines investment advice based on results of the analysis.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and system for the statistical analysis, display and dissemination of financial data over an information network such as the Internet and WWW. The present invention utilizes resampled statistical methods for the analysis of financial data. Resampled statistical analysis provides a meaningful and reasonable statistical description of financial information, which typically escapes modeling using parametric methods (i. e. assumptions of a Gaussian distribution). The present invention provides at least a GUI that provides functionality for user input of statistical queries, a statistical computation engine that performs statistical analysis of financial data and a graphical rendering engine that generates graphical display of statistical distributions generated by the statistical computation engine. According to one embodiment, the present invention employs a parallel processing architecture to speed generation of the resampled statistics.

Abstract:
Data collected from consumers (e.g., sports fans, spectators, gamers, shoppers) based on their participation associated with an event (e.g., a sporting event, a broadcasted show, an online contest, shopping) can be used to effect the allocation of credit (e.g., points, ratings, fees, money, equity) to select service providers (e.g., sports teams, sport team members, sports team coaches, shows, actors, video game competition, providers of highlighted products at a shopping center, a particular store). Data can be in the form of profile information, location, and input/feedback regarding an event. Data can be collected from a portable electronic device (e.g., smartphone) used by consumers. Feedback can be provided to consumers. Participation associated with an event can be by consumer attendance at an event as determined by portable electronic device location information. Participation can also be provided in the form of consumer input on a user interface associated with their portable electronic device.

System and methods are described herein for generating and transferring a contingently deliverable property right (CDPR) associated with a medical good or service. Ownership of the CDPR may be separated from delivery of the medical good or service. In one aspect, a method may include generating a CDPR unique ID for a medical good or service made available by a medical provider and storing the CDPR unique ID and medical good or service information in an object in the memory. The method may further include receiving first ownership information corresponding to the medical good or service, and associating the first ownership information with the CDPR unique ID. The CDPR unique ID may indicate or include a transferrable right to take delivery of the medical good or service.
