Launch IT Inaugural Business Incubator Program
Drexel University Close School of Entrepreneurship
In honor of the Close School of Entrepreneurship's inaugural degree program, I was accepted into the inaugural LaunchIT business program focused on incubating and funding a business idea from start to finish in 10 weeks. Backed by Drexel, along with a small number of students following a detailed entrance-acceptance requirement, I've had the opportunity to launch my "idea" in this accelerated 10 week period. This has included partnering with an electical engineer to help build a prototype start to finish, incorporating my company, finding outside material suppliers, as well as designing a website and marketing campaign and securing letters of intent from local businesses pending our final copy and patent filing. We our looking to be on the shelves within the next year with our consumer product and have had a large response in polling and test marketing thus far.

Karl Danzer International Business Scholarship

While pursuing international opportunities at Reading Area Community College, I was approached by my business professor about an open competition for an international business scholarship, the Karl Danzer Scholarship. After researching more into the school and the opportunity to study abroad, I submitted an essay, with two letters of recommendation from my professors and was fortunate enough to be chosen later in the year out of a pool of students from RACC, Penn State Berks, Kutztown, and Alvernia. There I studied in Reutlingen Germany for a semester abroad at one of the top international business schools in Europe, where I honed my interests in specialized international business studies, had the opportunity to tour many companies, and worked on preparing to return to finish my degree and find an internship.
