US Patent:
6564488, May 20, 2003
Filed:
Jun 25, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/888993
Inventors:
Ron Wittenberg - Scottsdale AZ, 85255
International Classification:
G09F 1700
US Classification:
40603, 40590
Abstract:
A signage display attachment system for mounting a sign to a substrate is disclosed. The signage display attachment system comprises a frame having a pair of vertical sides and a pair of horizontal sides. Each pair comprises a pair of base plates mounted to a substrate and a corresponding pair of tensioning plates having a plurality of recesses thereon. Each of the plurality of recesses is an elongated rounded trench shape. Further, each of the tensioning plates is adapted to mount to the pair of base plates. A securing device is adapted to releaseably hold the tensioning plate to the base plate. An insertion bead mounted to the edge of a sign is adapted to engage one of the plurality of recesses.

US Patent:
62092456, Apr 3, 2001
Filed:
Dec 27, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/473256
Inventors:
Ron L. Wittenberg - Scottsdale AZ
International Classification:
G09F 1700
US Classification:
40603
Abstract:
A signage display attachment system is disclosed for mounting a sign to a substrate. The signage display attachment system comprises an insertion bead, the insertion bead having two elongated legs extending from a base. The two elongated legs define a narrow, elongated un-shaped channel therebetween whereby the edge of a sign is captured within the channel. The insertion bead further has an upper prong and a lower prong extending laterally from the base perpendicular to the legs, the upper prong and the lower prong having a slot therebetween. A mounting channel has a plurality of recesses on one side thereof with the upper prong and the lower prong being sized to be receivable in combination within one of the plurality of recesses. The system releasably retains the upper prong and the lower prong, in combination, within each of the plurality of recesses. An L-shaped mounting channel having a retainer leg and a base is also provided.

Visually Symmetric Removable Low Protrusion Tensioned Sign Display System

US Patent:
62500023, Jun 26, 2001
Filed:
May 5, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/305861
Inventors:
Ron Leo Wittenberg - Scottsdale AZ
International Classification:
G09F 1700
US Classification:
40603
Abstract:
A specially engineered, low protrusion, visually symmetric small footprint system of mounting advertising displays to vehicles, such as trucks, tractor trailers, and vans, providing upward/downward adjustability, ease of frame removal and remounting, and over-center tensioning by means of specially designed rails which are attached to the surface of the vehicle. The rails are reversibly fastened to the surface of the vehicle, and can be easily and repeatedly removed and refastened in a short time. This is effected by sinking threaded screw seats into the wall on which the sign frame is mounted, providing permanent holes into which can be repeatedly screwed into and unscrewed from, the low protrusion screws which hold the sign frame to the wall. The hardware residue, after removal of the frame, is barely visible, with a very small footprint, being simply the protruding rims of the threaded screw seats. The entire system, when loaded with signage, and tensioned, protrudes very slightly from the surface of the vehicle, capitalizing on the total width tolerances to within which large trucks and tractor trailers are constructed, and designed not to increase such width beyond applicable regulatory maximum when fully operational.
