View page
US Patent:
20100233100, Sep 16, 2010
Filed:
Nov 26, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/734318
Inventors:
Thomas Charles Castle - Chester, GB
Roger B. Pettman - Marco Island FL, US
Terence Cosgrove - Portishead, GB
Assignee:
REVOLYMER LIMITED - LONDON
International Classification:
C08F 222/06
A23G 4/08
A61K 9/68
C08L 37/00
US Classification:
424 48, 526272, 426 6, 524549
Abstract:
An amphiphilic polymeric material which has a straight or branched chain polymer backbone and a multiplicity of side chains attached to the backbone, wherein the backbone is a copolymer of at least one ethylenically-unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon monomer and maleic anhydride, or is a terpolymer of maleic anhydride, ethylene, and a further ethylenically unsaturated monomer. A method of synthesising said polymeric material is also provided, together with chewing gum bases, compositions and emulsions comprising amphiphilic polymeric materials.

Portable Nmr Probe And Nmr Apparatus

View page
US Patent:
20210141036, May 13, 2021
Filed:
Jul 6, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/626046
Inventors:
Terence COSGROVE - Portishead, Somerset, GB
Stuart Walker PRESCOTT - Sydney, New South Wales, AU
Roger Bruce PETTMAN - Winter Park FL, US
International Classification:
G01R 33/34
G01N 24/08
G01R 33/31
G01R 33/383
G01R 33/385
Abstract:
A portable NMR probe for the analysis of dispersions, the portable NMR probe comprising: a base part; a detachable probe assembly detachably mounted on the base part and electrically connected to the base part, the detachable probe assembly comprising: a housing; and a radio-frequency coil assembly received in the housing, the radio-frequency coil assembly comprising an RF coil support that has a channel for receiving an NMR sample, and an RF coil wound around the RF coil support for transmitting radio-frequency pulses to the NMR sample and for detecting magnetic resonance responses from the NMR sample; and a field magnet arranged to generate a magnetic field in the detachable probe assembly.

Supramolecular Encrypted Fluorescent Security Ink Compositions

View page
US Patent:
20190169456, Jun 6, 2019
Filed:
Feb 6, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/269311
Inventors:
- Evanston IL, US
- Winter Park FL, US
Chenfeng Ke - Skokie IL, US
Roger B. Pettman - Winter Park FL, US
Assignee:
Northwestern University - Evanston IL
Innotune LLC - Winter Park FL
International Classification:
C09D 11/50
Abstract:
Fluorescent dyes, ink compositions comprising the dyes, methods and devices for printing the ink compositions, images printed using the ink compositions and methods for authenticating the printed images are provided. The fluorescent dyes are heterorotaxanes that include large macrocyclic rings around fluorophores and are capable of emitting solid-state fluorescence. When the heterorotaxanes are combined with encapsulating agents and competitive binding agents in aqueous solution, the resulting ink composition exhibits a complex, dynamic equilibrium that provides a tunable fluorescence emission spectrum with a non-linear response to the dye concentration.
