Abstract:
Methods of a network device maintaining secure communication are disclosed. One method includes the device obtaining identification numbers of all other devices the device is communicating with. The device computes a hash function, wherein inputs to the hash function include the identification numbers of the other devices and a secure hardware-stored identification number of the device. The device calculates a session key based on a master key, a random number and the computed hash function.

An integrated circuit may comprise a tuner operable to digitize a band of frequencies comprising a plurality of television channels, a crossbar operable to select one or more of the plurality of television channels output by the tuner, a plurality of demodulators operable to receive the selected one or more television channels from the crossbar and demodulate the selected one or more television channels to recover a plurality of transport streams, a transport module operable to multiplex the plurality of transport streams into a single packet stream, and a framer operable to: encapsulate packets of the plurality of transport streams into transport stream frames of a serial datastream, and insert filler frames into the serial datastream after every Nth transport stream frame of the serial datastream, where N is an integer.

Abstract:
An auxiliary control device is adapted to an air conditioning system. The air conditioning system includes a main machine and several vents. The auxiliary control device includes a vent unit and a sub-control unit. The vent unit has valves corresponding disposed on the vents, and a driver for actuating the valve to adjust an opening size of the vent through the valve. The sub-control unit includes a sub-memory for storing a control time table, a sub-timer for generating the time information, and a sub-controller for controlling the driver to adjust the opening size according to the control time table and the time information. Accordingly, the auxiliary control device is easily adapted to an air conditioning system existing in a user place and controls opening size of the vents in accordance with the control time table previously set by the user.
