Methods And Systems To Form High Efficiency And Uniform Fresnel Lens Arrays For Ultrasonic Liquid Manipulation

View page
US Patent:
8319398, Nov 27, 2012
Filed:
Apr 3, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/418503
Inventors:
Vibhu Vivek - Santa Clara CA, US
Babur Hadimioglu - Angelholm, SE
Ratnakar Dadi - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Microsonic Systems Inc. - San Jose CA
International Classification:
H01L 41/08
US Classification:
310334, 310335
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods to form high efficiency and uniform Fresnel lens arrays for ultrasonic liquid manipulation are provided. An ultrasonic transducer array may be fabricated by forming top and bottom electrodes on top and bottom surfaces of a sensor plate. The ultrasonic transducer array may generate ultrasonic energy to manipulate one or more samples. Each of the top and bottom electrodes may be coupled to a radio frequency source and arranged to form one of a solid shape or a pattern. Additional apparatus and methods are disclosed.

Methods And Systems For Ultrasonic Coupling Using Ultrasonic Radiation Pressure

US Patent:
20090249877, Oct 8, 2009
Filed:
Apr 3, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/418496
Inventors:
Vibhu Vivek - Santa Clara CA, US
Babur Hadimioglu - Angelholm, SE
Ratnakar Dadi - San Jose CA, US
International Classification:
G01N 29/024
G01N 29/036
US Classification:
73579, 73597, 702 54
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for ultrasonic coupling using ultrasonic radiation pressure generating are provided. Ultrasonic energy is generated to propagate in the form of ultrasonic waves in a medium coupled to a second element. The ultrasonic energy is converged in the medium to couple the medium to an object located at a distance from the second element. Additional apparatus and methods are disclosed.

Back Channel Adaptation For Transmission Under Peak Power Constraints

US Patent:
20140314138, Oct 23, 2014
Filed:
Apr 22, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/867916
Inventors:
- Santa Clara CA, US
Vishnu BALAN - Saratoga CA, US
Ratnakar DADI - San Jose CA, US
Gautam BHATIA - Mountain View CA, US
Assignee:
NVIDIA CORPORATION - Santa Clara CA
International Classification:
H04L 25/03
US Classification:
375232
Abstract:
A method comprises adapting a first tap weight of an equalizer, wherein a second tap weight of the equalizer is based at least in part on the first tap weight. Adapting the first tap weight further comprises computing a gradient from a data signal, an error signal and a channel pulse response sample. Adapting the first tap weight also comprises filtering the gradient with a loop filter and sending information to a transmitter via a back channel. Adapting the first tap weight further comprises configuring the first tap weight based on the information.
