International Classification:
H04N 19/60
H04N 19/96
H04N 19/91
H04N 19/122
Abstract:
Systems, apparatus, articles, and methods are described including operations for size based transform unit context derivation. In an example encoder, first circuitry is to encode video input data into a bitstream according to a bitstream syntax, wherein the video input data includes one or more pictures, the one or more pictures are partitioned into one or more coding tree blocks, the one or more coding tree blocks are partitioned into slices including one or more coding tree blocks, the one or more coding tree blocks include one or more transform blocks according to a transform tree including a split_transform_flag indicative of the split of a given coding block into corresponding one or more transform blocks, the split_transform_flag is coded using CABAC, and a context index associated with the CABAC coding of the split_transform_flag is based on a value. Second circuitry of the encoder is to output the bitstream.

US Patent:
20220188552, Jun 16, 2022
Filed:
Dec 11, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/119108
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Pieter Kapsenberg - Mountain View CA, US
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
B60W 60/00
G06K 9/62
G06F 16/22
Abstract:
Described examples relate to an apparatus for rearranging or reordering image data of a stream. The apparatus may include control circuitry coupled to a memory array. The control circuitry may be configured to receive the image data of the stream that includes a first image comprising first data elements organized in a row-wise format or a column-wise format and a second image comprising second data elements organized in a row-wise format or a column-wise format. The control circuitry may also be configured to write the first data elements to the memory array in a first order according to a first addressing sequence, read the first data elements from the memory array in a second order according to a second addressing sequence, and write the second data elements in the memory array according to the second addressing sequence.

Systems, Apparatus, And Methods For Transmitting Image Data

View page
US Patent:
20220182583, Jun 9, 2022
Filed:
Dec 9, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/116448
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Pieter Kapsenberg - Mountain View CA, US
International Classification:
H04N 7/18
H04N 1/00
H04N 1/21
Abstract:
Examples described relate to systems, methods, and apparatus for transmitting image data. The apparatus may comprise a memory buffer configured to store data elements of an image frame and generate a signal indicating that each of the data elements of the image frame have been written to the memory buffer, a processor configured to initiate a flush operation for reading out at least one data element of the image frame from the memory buffer and to output the at least one data element at a first rate, a rate adjustment unit configured to receive the at least one data element from the processor at the first rate and to output the at least one data element at a second rate, and a multiplexer configured to receive the at least one data element from the processor at the first rate and configured to receive the at least one data element from the rate adjustment unit at the second rate. The multiplexer may select the at least one data element at the second rate for transmitting on a bus in response to receiving the signal from the memory buffer.

Appl. No.:
16/215713
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Ryan Joseph Andrade - Morgan Hill CA, US
Andreas Wendel - Mountain View CA, US
Michael James - Northville MI, US
Christian Lauterbach - Campbell CA, US
Etai Bruhis - Palo Alto CA, US

International Classification:
B60W 50/029
G05D 1/00
B60W 10/04
B60W 10/20
B60W 50/02
Abstract:
The technology relates to partially redundant equipment architectures for vehicles able to operate in an autonomous driving mode. Aspects of the technology employ fallback configurations, such as two or more fallback sensor configurations that provide some minimum amount of field of view (FOV) around the vehicle. For instance, different sensor arrangements are logically associated with different operating domains of the vehicle. Fallback configurations for computing resources and/or power resources are also provided. Each fallback configuration may have different reasons for being triggered, and may result in different types of fallback modes of operation. Triggering conditions may relate, e.g., to a type of failure, fault or other reduction in component capability, the current driving mode, environmental conditions in the vicinity of vehicle or along a planned route, or other factors. Fallback modes may involve altering a previously planned trajectory, altering vehicle speed, and/or altering a destination of the vehicle.
