Philosophy:
Although I enjoy the technology that is intrinsic to the practice of radiation oncology, I also like the basic human contact involved in caring for cancer patients. I especially like teaching patients about their disease and the role of radiation therapy in the often multi-disciplinary treatment programs. I find it challenging to explain things in non-technical language, but always encourage my patients to ask questions. I believe in a fully informed patient is much better able to tollerate their treatment, which will ideally lead to better outcomes.
