Application Of A Graphical Pattern To A Path

View page
US Patent:
6522328, Feb 18, 2003
Filed:
Apr 7, 1998
Appl. No.:
09/056504
Inventors:
Paul J. Asente - La Honda CA
Assignee:
Adobe Systems Incorporated - San Jose CA
International Classification:
G06T 1120
US Classification:
345441, 345442, 345636
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus implementing a technique for applying a graphical pattern to a path. The technique includes defining a path for display in an electronic document and defining a repeatable graphical pattern. The technique also includes repetitively placing instances of the repeatable graphical pattern along the path to form a continuous pattern which conforms to the path, determining whether a geometry of the path changes and automatically reapplying instances of the repeatable graphical pattern to the path if the geometry of the path changes.

May 11, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/569165
Inventors:
Darin Tomack - Fremont CA
Paul J. Asente - La Honda CA
Teri Pettit - Menlo Park CA
Frank Guinan - Mountain View CA
Assignee:
Adobe Systems Incorporated - San Jose CA
International Classification:
G09G 500
US Classification:
345581, 345582, 345583, 345629, 345634, 345636
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program apparatus, implementing techniques for processing digital artwork. In one aspect, the techniques process aggregations of artwork where both the aggregation and at least some of the aggregated artwork have attached styles. The techniques handle various combinations of conditions resulting in applying style elements to the aggregation before or after applying style elements to underlying artwork. In another aspect, the techniques implement editable path objects having multiple attached fills and/or strokes. The techniques provide user interfaces for using the foregoing features.

Blending Objects With Different Effect Parameters

View page
US Patent:
6707461, Mar 16, 2004
Filed:
Dec 21, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/468729
Inventors:
Darin Tomack - Fremont CA
Paul J. Asente - La Honda CA
Frank Guinan - Mountain View CA
Teri Pettit - Menlo Park CA
Assignee:
Adobe Systems Incorporated - San Jose CA
International Classification:
G09G 500
US Classification:
345611, 382269
Abstract:
A method of blending artwork objects. In the method, user input is received selecting a first parameter setting and a second parameter setting for an effect on an object. The first parameter setting, the second parameter setting and a blend parameter setting are passed to the effect. A third parameter setting is generated in the effect from the first parameter setting, the second parameter setting and the blend parameter setting. The effect is applied to the object with the third parameter setting to generate an rendered version of the object.

US Patent:
7256785, Aug 14, 2007
Filed:
Apr 19, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/109837
Inventors:
Paul J. Asente - La Honda CA, US
Michael D. Schuster - Woodside CA, US
Assignee:
Adobe Systems Incorporated - San Jose CA
International Classification:
G06T 11/20
