US Patent:
20120163621, Jun 28, 2012
Filed:
Dec 23, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/336350
Inventors:
Brett D. Riggs - Yorba Linda CA, US
Sam W. Grove - Irvine CA, US
Nathaniel Lee Wincek - New Port Richey FL, US
International Classification:
H04B 1/00
H03G 3/00
US Classification:
381 86, 381107
Abstract:
Embodiments of the proposed invention preferably provide systems and methods for an improved aftermarket automobile audio amplifier that is easy to install while integrating and improving OEM functionality. Embodiments of the invention preferably directly connect to preexisting OEM wiring and hardware. Embodiments of the invention preferably preserve OEM system functionality and allow for integration of additional auxiliary inputs. A digital signal processing module preferably adjusts an output volume to ensure that auxiliary inputs are audible to a vehicle occupant at an appropriate and comfortable volume level. Therefore, vehicle OEM safety chimes or third party navigational commands may be output to a vehicle occupant at an appropriate volume level irrespective of the presence, absence or volume level of other audio signal outputs. Furthermore, the direct connection to preexisting OEM wiring and hardware preferably allows for both easy installation and easy removal of embodiments of the current invention.

Unattented Occupant Protection System (Uops) Safety System

US Patent:
20210402922, Dec 30, 2021
Filed:
May 20, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/325794
Inventors:
- Clearwater FL, US
Nathaniel Lee Wincek - New Port Richey FL, US
International Classification:
B60Q 9/00
B60N 2/00
B60R 16/037
B60H 1/00
G01V 3/08
G01V 9/00
G01V 1/00
G10L 25/78
G01V 8/10
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to apparatus and methods for unattended occupant protection system (UOPS) safety systems for passenger vehicles. The UOPS safety system may include a UOPS module. The module may be integrated with a vehicle data bus of the passenger vehicle. The module may be in communication with a plurality of UOPS sensors. The module may launch an equalization mode in response to determining, via the UOPS sensors, the presence of an unattended occupant in the passenger vehicle with a high or rising ambient temperature. The equalization mode may stabilize the ambient temperature of the passenger vehicle.

Wireless Configuration And Programming Of Automotive Aftermarket Peripheral Interfacing Modules

US Patent:
20210084122, Mar 18, 2021
Filed:
Nov 24, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/103561
Inventors:
- Clearwater FL, US
Nathaniel Lee Wincek - New Port Richey FL, US
International Classification:
H04L 29/06
H04L 29/08
H04L 12/66
Abstract:
A method of bridging incompatibility of a radio head unit in a vehicle and a peripheral device configured to control a peripheral device in the vehicle. The method comprises receiving, from a first image sensor, a first scanned code identifying the vehicle, and receiving, from the first image sensor or a second image sensor, a second scanned code identifying the radio head unit. Based on the first scanned code, identifying a first communication protocol used by the peripheral device. Based on the second scanned code, identifying a second communication protocol used by the radio head unit. Based on the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol, determining a communication configuration ID identifying a target information exchange protocol executable to bridge the incompatibility between the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol. Additionally, the method includes the step of transmitting the communication configuration ID to an interface module, where the interface module is configured to execute the identified information exchange protocol to bridge the incompatibility between the first communication protocol and the second communication protocol.

US Patent:
20190007528, Jan 3, 2019
Filed:
Jun 28, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/021534
Inventors:
- Clearwater FL, US
Nathaniel Lee Wincek - New Port Richey FL, US
International Classification:
H04L 29/06
B60R 16/023
Abstract:
Vehicles typically include a communication system for communicating with and controlling devices and sensors installed in the vehicle. The vehicle may include a radio head unit. The head unit may provide functionality for controlling other devices and sensors installed in the vehicle. Devices and sensors installed in a vehicle may operate using incompatible communication protocols. An interface may be provided that detects the communication protocol used by a device/sensor and locates an information exchange protocol. The information exchange protocol may be executed by the interface. The information protocol may translate one communication protocol into another communication protocol. Translating communication protocols may allow two (or more) otherwise incompatible devices/sensors to work together and be integrated into a vehicle.
