System And Method For Enabling The Originator Of An Electronic Mail Message To Preset An Expiration Time, Date, And/Or Event, And To Control Processing Or Handling By A Recipient

View page
US Patent:
7149893, Dec 12, 2006
Filed:
Sep 7, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/390363
Inventors:
Jon N. Leonard - Tucson AZ, US
Charles H. Seaman - Richmond CA, US
Michael Anderer - Salt Lake City UT, US
Peter B. Ritz - Meadowbrook PA, US
Michael Bernstein - Tucson AZ, US
Robert J. Schena - Wayne PA, US
Assignee:
Poofaway.com, Inc. - Tucson AZ
International Classification:
H04L 9/00
US Classification:
713154, 726 26, 709206, 709207, 709217
Abstract:
An electronic mail system and method enables the originator of a message sent by electronic mail to select a date, time, or event at which the message and all incarnations of the message to self-destruct, regardless of the number and types of computers or software systems that may have interacted with the message. The system and message also permits the originator to include processing and handling limitations. The necessary control over the message is achieved by encrypting the message and enabling viewing only through a viewer applet arranged to facilitate destruction of the message upon the occurrence of the selected expiration time, date, or event, and to implemented the handling and processing limitations. A central server can be used to exercise additional control over the message by serving as a proxy destination, and by streaming the encrypted message to the viewer applet. The viewer applet can be transmitted to new recipients with the message so that the system and method can direct mail to any electronic mail user.

Skin Puncturing Device

View page
US Patent:
20150151098, Jun 4, 2015
Filed:
Sep 25, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/496064
Inventors:
- HEBER CITY UT, US
TIM NIEMAN - NORTH SALT LAKE UT, US
MICHAEL ANDERER - TAMPA FL, US
MICHAEL MORGAN - SALT LAKE CITY UT, US
JEREMY JONES - MIDVALE UT, US
CHAD MILTON - SALT LAKE CITY UT, US
International Classification:
A61M 37/00
A61B 17/34
Abstract:
A safety needle assembly for skin puncturing. A plurality of needles driven by a reciprocating drive shaft extend and retract through an opening in one end of the assembly. Eleven or twelve needles are configured so as to minimize potential surface tension and reduce stress applied to the skin. The opening may be rounded or scalloped to reduce friction on the skin. An elastomeric or mechanical spring is used to assist in retracting the needles. Various alignment tabs and features are used to ensure proper alignment of the drive shaft within the assembly, and alignment of the needle assembly when attached to a handpiece during use. Safety tabs on the needle assembly prevent reuse. A protective sleeve may be used to cover the exterior of the needle assembly.
