Abstract:
An earphone assembly for an in-ear listening device is disclosed. The earphone assembly has an inner housing comprising a nozzle, configured to receive a sleeve for placement into a user's ear, and a balanced armature motor assembly. The balanced armature motor assembly is mounted in the inner housing so as to form an acoustical seal between the inner housing and the balanced armature motor assembly. The earphone assembly also includes an outer housing configured to receive the inner housing. The inner housing can comprise a recess for receiving a paddle of the balanced armature motor assembly. Alternatively, the outer housing can be formed with a nozzle for receiving a sleeve for placement into a user's ear canal, and the inner housing can comprise a spout, which is received in a recess in the outer housing.

Abstract:
An antenna assembly and method of forming an antenna is disclosed. The antenna comprises a dielectric core wrapped with an antenna tape having a conductive portion. A printed circuit board extends from a chassis, and a ground element secures the printed circuit board to the chassis at a point located away from the chassis. The printed circuit board can be secured to the conductive portion on the tape through a wire or flex cable connection. The dielectric core can be formed of a shock absorbing material and is configured to extend into the chassis. The antenna assembly can be provided with an antenna cover placed over the dielectric core and a shock-absorbing material can be located between the dielectric core and the antenna cover.

Abstract:
A microphone can include a cover having a series of slits and a nest. The nest can be configured to receive a first diaphragm, a second diaphragm, and a PCB in a stacked arrangement, such that the PCB is positioned between the first diaphragm and the second diaphragm. Also, the first diaphragm can define a first plane, the second diaphragm can define a second plane, and the PCB can define a third plane and the first plane, the second plane, and the third plane can extend parallel to one another. The cover can also include slits having a first length and a second length, and the first length can be greater than the second length. The slits can extend both radially and axially.
