Getting To Know Mary Chambers… Education ~ Past and Present Mary Chambers has been a native of Southern Maryland and has been proud to call it her home since her family moved to restore a historic farm in Hughesville, Maryland when she was only 6 years old. Mary attended St. Mary’s Bryantown Catholic School and was a 1984 high school graduate of Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, Maryland. Mary is also an honors graduate of Washington Business Institute in Washington, DC. Education continues to be important to Mary and she has been committed to establishing a professional real estate business through hard work and dedication to education. Family time is very important to the Chambers and they work hard to preserve it with the busy schedules they lead. It is also significant to note that Mary enjoys building her faith in God, and is an active member at her Church, New Life Wesleyan Church, in LaPlata, Maryland. The Chambers family lead a family bible study in their home, called Life Group, every other Friday evening. Additionally, Mary is an advocate of adoption and in the summer of 2000, she and Scott traveled to Ukraine to adopt their youngest daughter Faith! The entire Chambers family considers this independent adoption experience one of their greatest blessings!! Volunteerism and Community Involvement As a volunteer over the years, Mary has been an active volunteer in the following organizations and ministries within the Southern Maryland community: New Life’s Youth Group Team Leader, New Life’s Missions Spaghetti Dinner, Remax Children’s Miracle Network Yard Sale, Christmas in April, Habitat for Humanity, United Way of Charles County, and the Catherine Foundation Crisis Pregnancy Center. Besides investing her time in family, church, and her real estate business, Mary also has a strong enthusiasm for antiquing, gardening, boating, and entertaining.
