Abstract:
The present invention relates to electronic assemblies which include an elastomeric member made of a cured, room-temperature curable polysiloxane composition. When the assemblies are used to electrically interconnect a first contacting site on a first electronic device to a second contacting site on a second electronic device, the stress-relaxation resistant properties of the elastomer enhance local contact force to maintain a reliable connection.

A try-in paste, kit, and method of use, wherein the try-in paste includes: a polyalkylene glycol that is liquid at room temperature; a polyalkylene glycol that is solid at room temperature; and a particulate material; wherein the polyalkylene glycols are present in amounts to provide a paste having a consistency of about 20 mm to about 50 mm; and wherein the particulate material is present in an amount to provide a try-in paste of a shading that matches the shading of a corresponding polymerized dental cement.

Abstract:
The present invention provides an addition-curable composition containing an inorganic, organic or organometalic compound of palladium in an amount effective to reduce the amount of hydrogen gas evolved in the reaction of the composition. A preferred embodiment is a dental impression material composition comprising: (a) an addition-curable compound; (b) a crosslinker; (c) a platinum-containing catalyst; and (d) a palladium compound. This generally provides a positive gypsum model of, for example, a dental impression that is substantially free of pits.

The present invention provides novel hydrosilation-curable compositions, the cure of which can be monitored visually, comprising: (1) an ethylenic compound; (2) a compound containing silicon-bonded-hydrogen groups; (3) a hydrosilation catalyst; and (4) one or more cure-indicating dyes with light absorption in the visible spectrum that exhibit a color change in the presence of a silicon-bonded-hydrogen compound and a precious metal hydrosilation catalyst. The cure-indicating dye provides the composition with an initial pre-cure color and a different post-cure color. As a result of this change in color, the state of cure of the composition can be visually monitored.
