Abstract:
A low power consumption RF receiver system that is adapted for receiving and shaping transmitted digital data signals into a digital data stream for processing by a microprocessor is provided. The receiver system comprises an integrated circuit, which includes a data slicer adapted to accept the received digital data signals, shape the signals into a digital data stream, and pass the digital data stream to the microprocessor. The integrated circuit further includes a peak detector adapted to sense ambient circuit noise when digital data signals are not present, develop a voltage reference signal representative of the peak value of the ambient circuit noise, and pass the voltage reference signal to the data slicer. The receiver system further includes a support circuit between the peak detector and the data slicer that has a voltage divider and a charge capacitor that is adapted to accept the voltage reference signal and produce a clamping reference for the data slicer thereby preventing the data slicer from responding to ambient circuit noise and passing false digital data streams to the microprocessor.

Wireless Access System And Method

View page
US Patent:
7683756, Mar 23, 2010
Filed:
Mar 30, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/694147
Inventors:
Riad Ghabra - Dearborn Heights MI, US
Mark A. Enderich - Riverview MI, US
Assignee:
Lear Corporation - Southfield MI
International Classification:
G05B 19/00
US Classification:
340 561, 340 103, 34082572
Abstract:
The disclosed embodiments include a wireless access system and method that enable the transmission of wireless access signals having a desired power level. In some embodiments, the wireless access system determines the amount of supply current drawn by certain devices and causes adjustment of the wireless access signal power level based on an assessment of the supply current.

Three State Switch Detection Using Current Sensing

View page
US Patent:
57148520, Feb 3, 1998
Filed:
Sep 13, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/713475
Inventors:
Mark A. Enderich - Riverview MI
Assignee:
United Technologies Automotive, Inc. - Dearborn MI
International Classification:
H02P 122
US Classification:
318256
Abstract:
A three state switch detection circuit converts a three state input to a two-bit binary output readable by a micro-controller or other digital logic. The circuit utilized complementary NPN and PNP transistors having coupled emitters and coupled bases connected by a resistor. The collector of the PNP transistor is connected by a resistor to ground while a complementary resistor ties the collector of the NPN transistor to V. sub. BATT. Additional circuitry preferably converts the voltage output from the collectors to a suitable voltage level readable by the micro-controller or other digital logic device.

Power Delivery Circuit With Short Circuit Protection

View page
US Patent:
59863595, Nov 16, 1999
Filed:
Apr 23, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/636799
Inventors:
Mark A. Enderich - Riverview MI
Shawn P. Slusser - Farmington Hills MI
Chris A. Wunderlich - Canton MI
Assignee:
Lear Automotive Dearborn, Inc. - Southfield MI
International Classification:
H01H 4700
US Classification:
307125
Abstract:
The present invention advantageously provides a microprocessor controlled power delivery circuit with short circuit protection. The microprocessor controls the load current flow at the circuit's load connection terminal by connecting this terminal to the positive or negative side of a power supply or opening the circuit to prevent current flow. The short circuit protection uses a passive electrical component feedback circuit to communicate the voltage level at the circuit's load connection terminal back to the microprocessor. The microprocessor routinely monitors this voltage and compares this voltage against the expected voltage at this terminal. When the actual voltage does not match the expected voltage, the circuit will provide protection by interrupting current flow through the load connection terminal.

Double Annular Ring Speaker Gasket

View page
US Patent:
50816748, Jan 14, 1992
Filed:
May 14, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/522720
Inventors:
Thomas S. Wijas - Northbrook IL
Mark A. Enderich - Round Lake Beach IL
Assignee:
Motorola, Inc. - Schaumburg IL
International Classification:
H04M 100
H04R 2500
US Classification:
379 433
Abstract:
A double annular ring gasket (202) interfaces a speaker (201) to a housing (200) in a portable radiotelephone, providing a conformal and acoustic seal between the speaker (201) and the housing (200), and compensating for dimensional tolerance between the housing (200) and the circuit board subassembly (204) on which the speaker (201) is mounted. The gasket (201) includes outer ring (205), inner ring (206) and intermediate ring (207) therebetween. The gasket (202) is inserted into a cavity (203) in the housing (200). Then, the speaker (201), as part of a printed circuit board subassembly (204), is pressed into place against the outer ring (205) of gasket (202) to form an axial seal and the inner ring (206) is deformed radially by the speaker (201) to form a conformal seal.

Electronic Control System For A Vehicle Seat

View page
US Patent:
20190047442, Feb 14, 2019
Filed:
Aug 6, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/055599
Inventors:
- Lippstadt, DE
Mark A. Enderich - Riverview MI, US
International Classification:
B60N 2/02
B60N 2/20
B60N 2/22
G01D 5/14
Abstract:
An electronic control system for vehicle seatbacks is provided. The electronic control system can detect an obstruction or a motor stall by comparing the energy consumed by a seatback motor with an obstruction threshold and a stall threshold, the threshold being selected based upon the position of the seatback. The electronic control system can additionally control the synchronous folding of two or more adjacent powered seatbacks. The electronic control system causes the motor for the lagging seatback to receive a maximum driving voltage and causes the motor for the leading seatback to receive a partial driving voltage. Once the seatbacks are in alignment, a normal driving voltage is provided to both motors.

Current Sense Circuit With Offset Calibration

View page
US Patent:
20150022184, Jan 22, 2015
Filed:
Jul 15, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/331666
Inventors:
- Plymouth MI, US
Mark Allen Enderich - Riverview MI, US
Stanley Smith - Troy MI, US
International Classification:
G01R 19/00
G01R 1/20
US Classification:
324130
Abstract:
A switching device is controlled by a microprocessor to selectively configure the circuit between a current measurement mode and a calibration mode. When the switch is set to the “on” state, the circuit acts as a normal prior art circuit, with the output Vbeing read by the microprocessor to determine the current to the load. However, when the switch is set to the “off” state, a small value resistor (which may be roughly three orders of magnitude greater than R) connects the inputs of the measuring circuit so that the circuit can generate an output Vcorresponding to the zero load current. By connecting the V and V inputs together with a low resistance resistor, the no-load condition V=V−V≈0 applies. In this state, the no-load offset can be determined by measuring the output voltage of the circuit without turning off the load.
