Abstract:
An audiovisual (AV) distribution network communicates via Internet Protocol and is implemented as a framework of local area networks (LANs). Transmitters and receivers in the AV distribution network leverage multicast transmission technology and pre-authentication to switch quickly and seamlessly between sources transmitting audiovisual data protected by a security protocol scheme.
