Skills:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAS) While serving 28 years in the Mississippi National Guard, including three deployments to Desert Storm, Iraqi Thunder, and Iraqi Freedom, and three years active duty on Title 10 orders, I have worked on M1114s, M10262, M1025s, M1008s, M1009s, M998s, 5 Ton trucks, wreckers, and some small generators. During the years I have spent as a Shop Mechanic, I have gained complete knowledge and skills in diagnosing trouble codes, and in reading odometers and other test equipment. While working as a field technician, I use the 20&P, 24&P, 34&P, ETMs, etc., manuals. Utilizing these manuals, I have the ability to look up NSNs, parts, and technical procedures for repairs. I have the knowledge to interpret technical manuals and diagrams. As a Wheel Mechanic, I have interpreted complex wiring diagrams and made the repairs and modifications necessary. Through my experience, I have learned to practice safety procedures and gained the ability to teach common knowledge on technical work to other soldiers/co- workers. At FOB Kalsu in Iraq, I was part of support maintenance for the 155th Infantry Brigade, with duties including maintaining vehicles in mission readiness in a timely manner and working on FOB equipment and generators that were needed to run missions.
