Filed:
Feb 24, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/679259
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Jason Ji - Reston VA, US
Ljubica Chatman - New York NY, US
Michael Mossoba - Arlington VA, US
Carlos Rodriguez - McLean VA, US
International Classification:
H04L 9/40
H04W 12/08
H04W 12/06
Abstract:
The disclosed technology includes systems and methods for determining secondary authentication of a user's log-in attempts by comparing received behavioral biometric data and/or received scenario-specific data to saved behavioral biometric data and/or saved scenario-specific data, respectively. Responsive to determining that the received behavioral biometric data and/or received scenario-specific data is above a predetermined threshold of similarity with respect to the saved behavioral biometric data and/or saved scenario-specific data, respectively, the systems and methods can determine that the corresponding log-in attempt is secondarily authenticated. of a user device via behavioral biometric data. Responsive to determining that the level of similarity is not above the predetermined threshold, the systems and methods can initiate a secondary authentication method and can associate the received behavioral biometric data with a second user model.

G06Q 20/22
G06Q 20/38
Abstract:
A system includes an application programming interface, a database, and a server. The application programming interface can make recommendations to a user at a point of sale to display a recommended payment method from a set of payment methods associated with the user. The database can store past transactions for each payment method in the set of payment methods. The server can generate payment analytics by analyzing the past transactions in the database for each payment method. The server can determine potential benefits available to the user. The server can determine the recommended payment method by using the payment analytics and maximizing the potential benefits available to the user.

Systems And Methods For Automatic Decision-Making With User-Configured Criteria Using Multi-Channel Data Inputs

View page
US Patent:
20210390445, Dec 16, 2021
Filed:
Jun 10, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/897887
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Ljubica CHATMAN - New York NY, US
David GABRIELE - New York NY, US
Tyler MAIMAN - Melville NY, US
Joshua EDWARDS - Philadelphia PA, US
International Classification:
G06N 20/00
G06F 3/01
G06F 9/54
Abstract:
Systems and methods for decision-making with multi-channel data inputs are provided. The system includes a plurality of devices, and a server in data communication with the plurality of devices. The server includes a decision engine, a sentiment analysis machine learning model, and a behavior analysis machine learning model. The server is configured to: receive the at least one data input from each of the plurality of device; perform, using the sentiment analysis machine learning model, a sentiment analysis on the at least one data input to generate sentiment information indicative of an emotional state of a user; perform, using the behavior analysis machine learning model, a behavior analysis on the at least one data input to generate behavior information indicative of a behavioral state of the user; determine, using the decision engine, a responsive action based on the sentiment information and the behavior information; and perform the responsive action.

Systems For Securing Transactions Based On Merchant Trust Score

View page
US Patent:
20210374757, Dec 2, 2021
Filed:
May 26, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/883108
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Xiaoguang Zhu - New York NY, US
Ljubica Chatman - New York NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 20/40
G06N 20/00
G06F 16/951
G06F 21/31
Abstract:
Systems for securing transactions based on merchant trust score are disclosed. The system may receive information identifying a merchant from a user device and, in response, retrieve transaction data associated with the merchant and receive website data in response to receiving information identifying the merchant. The system may use a machine learning model to generate a merchant trust score for the merchant, and determine whether the merchant trust score is less than a predetermined threshold. The system may also generate or retrieve an alternative payment method and provide related information or a recommendation to the user device.

Social Media Account-Linking Checkout

View page
US Patent:
20210110373, Apr 15, 2021
Filed:
Aug 21, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/999371
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Ljubica Chatman - New York NY, US
International Classification:
G06Q 20/22
G06Q 50/00
G06Q 20/40
G06Q 20/38
Abstract:
Systems and method for linking a social media handle to a financial account and providing a payment handle are disclosed. The payment handle is a unique identifier that allows a social media user to enter the payment handle in a checkout page within the social media ecosystem to authorize payment for goods or services. An account provider system can create a first payment handle to associate with a first social media system and a second payment handle to associate with a second social media system. The payment handle can be generated according to a list of preferred goods, merchant lists, or maximum transaction amounts. Rather than entering a credit card number, expiration date, address, and other data into a conventional checkout page, the system can enable a user to checkout simply by entering the payment handle and hitting “submit” (or similar).

System For Predicting Optimal Operating Hours For Merchants

View page
US Patent:
20210035128, Feb 4, 2021
Filed:
Jul 29, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/524835
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Michael MOSSOBA - Arlington VA, US
Ljubica CHATMAN - New York NY, US
Tyler MAIMAN - Melville NY, US
Joshua EDWARDS - Philadelphia PA, US
Assignee:
Capital One Services, LLC - McLean VA
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
G06N 5/04
G06N 20/00
Abstract:
Systems and methods relate to predicting improved operating hours for a merchant. For example, a method may include determining operating hours of a target merchant; identifying one or more merchants other than the target merchant having one or more common characteristics with the target merchant; obtaining transactional data indicating customer transactions at the one or more merchants other than the target merchant; computing an estimate of potential customer transactions at the target merchant during a the period of time not within the operating hours by processing input data including the obtained transactional data using a trained machine learning model to produce the estimate, the estimate being a number or value of consumer transactions missed as a result of the target merchant being closed during the period of time; and transmitting, to the target merchant, information indicating the computed estimate.

Embodiments disclosed herein generally related to a system and method for assessing a fraud risk. In one embodiment, a method for assessing a fraud risk is disclosed herein. A web browser extension executing on the computing device identifies an account associated with the computing device. The web browser extension detects that the computing device navigated to a web page hosted by a third party server. The web browser extension determines that the third party server prompted the computing device to opt into two-factor authentication functionality. The web browser extension determines that the computing device did not opt into the two-factor authentication functionality. The web browser extension prompts, via an application programming interface (API), an organization computing system to update a fraud metric associated with the account.
