Shelving Bracket

View page
US Patent:
6402108, Jun 11, 2002
Filed:
Nov 9, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/436364
Inventors:
Lee Remmers - Ocala FL
Assignee:
Emerson Electric Co. - St. Louis MO
International Classification:
A47G 2902
US Classification:
248243, 211 9003, 2111811, 211187, 248247, 248250
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a bracket for supporting either plank or wire shelving with the bracket mounted to a vertical support standard. The bracket contains a plurality of tabs, some of which extend in a downward direction and away from the main body of the bracket to form a series of notches. This tab and notch system allow the tabs to be inserted into the grooves in the vertical support standard which prevents dislocation of the bracket from the support standard. The bracket also contains an additional tab and notch to hold the rear of the longitudinal rod of a wire shelf in place. This tab may be bent forward to permanently lock the wire shelf into place. The bracket also, contains screw holes such that either plank or wire shelving can be mounted to it and has a front section that fits between the front longitudinal rods of a wire shelf to keep the wire shelf in place. Furthermore, the bracket contains raised surfaces on its sides that add a larger compression area such that the bracket can better support a load.

Drawer Glide System

View page
US Patent:
6467860, Oct 22, 2002
Filed:
Mar 12, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/804216
Inventors:
Lee Remmers - Ocala FL
Assignee:
Clairson Corporation/Emerson Electric Company - Ocala FL
International Classification:
A47B 8800
US Classification:
3123347, 31233416, 31233423
Abstract:
A sliding drawer system, containing two opposite facing slide members, two drawer glides, and a sliding drawer or wire basket. Each slide member contains a longitudinal interior channel running substantially the length of the slide member. The drawer contains an outer rim that engages and slides across a dome located at a front end of each slide member. The two drawer glides are attached to the drawer along the along the drawers outer rim for slidable engagement with the longitudinal interior channel of the slide members. The apparatus contains features designed to reduce friction between the sliding parts so as to ease the inward and outward sliding of the drawer and to increase its effective life.

Wall Anchor

View page
US Patent:
6494653, Dec 17, 2002
Filed:
Apr 17, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/835967
Inventors:
Lee Remmers - Ocala FL
Assignee:
Emerson Electric Company - Ocala FL
International Classification:
F16B 2100
US Classification:
411344, 411 45, 411 62, 411340
Abstract:
The present invention is a wall anchor having a novel finger configuration. This wall anchor has a head and barrel portion with a bore extending therethrough and laterally expandable fingers in general alignment with the bore. Instead of a straight channel, a channel having curved portions separates the fingers. The curved portions of the channel define ramp surfaces that at least partially extend into the path of a securing member created by the bore. Thus, when a securing member, such as a bolt, pin, screw, nail or similar object is inserted into the bore to secure the wall anchor to the wall, the securing member contacts the two ramp surfaces, separating the fingers. As the fingers separate, a portion of the fingers near the ramp surfaces deform such that the ramp surfaces rest on an outer portion of the securing member, thus providing a securing force for connecting the wall anchor to the wall and relieving stress on the area at which the fingers are connected to the barrel.

Standard And Track Shelving System

View page
US Patent:
6669154, Dec 30, 2003
Filed:
Nov 9, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/436363
Inventors:
Lee Remmers - Ocala FL
Assignee:
Emerson Electric Co. - St. Louis MO
International Classification:
E04G 506
US Classification:
24822511, 311 9401, 24822021, 24822043, 248243
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a vertical support standard and track into which the standard can be mounted. The standard contains a plurality of slots in its front surface such that one or more ordinary shelving brackets can be mounted thereon, and contains an opening on its back surface such that it can be mounted to a track upon which the wall standard may be able to slide. The track contains a lip and support portion. The lip extends over the front of the standard to keep it mounted to the track, and the support portion can be inserted into the opening on the back of the standard to provide added support and to allow sliding of the standard if desired. This standard and track configuration thus not only allows greater flexibility for the consumer as to the placement of shelving brackets, but provides greater support and increased loading capacity such that more items can be placed on a shelf that is mounted to the disclosed shelving system.
