Ocean Motion Power

View page
US Patent:
20030024247, Feb 6, 2003
Filed:
Jul 30, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/917582
Inventors:
Kurt Henke - Folsom CA, US
International Classification:
F03G006/00
F03G007/00
B60L008/00
B60K016/00
US Classification:
060/641800, 060/641150
Abstract:
To harvest energy from the oscillating ocean caused by the sun, the moon and the waves which are caused by the wind, a floating platform or optional a plurality of floating platforms anchored off shore and are connected to each other by two booms, and a hinged control deck between the platforms to keep them aligned. Each platform is surrounded by 76 floating weights and 52 more weights are inside the open court yard. Each floating weight weighs 25 tons. Each weight is connected to an opposing ram system. The weights are now moving up and down with the oscillating ocean. The downward motion is the power stroke. Each weight with only one inch per second power stroke will produce 6518 watt (theoretical value). Each platform will have a utility deck and there is a control deck between the platforms. Each deck provides room for installation of the most up to date solar and wind power equipment to harvest energy.

Henke Wheel

US Patent:
20020141865, Oct 3, 2002
Filed:
Feb 1, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/774420
Inventors:
Kurt Henke - Folsom CA, US
International Classification:
F03D001/02
US Classification:
415/202000, 416/19700A
Abstract:
Replace prior art of rotors, rotating inside a housing and are powered by forces under pressure such as fluid, air, steam and gas as used in manufacturing, power equipment, fluid and air motors with a Henke Wheel by expanding the same area exposed to force on prior art on the vane of the Henke Wheel within the same radius and establish the shortest, practical distance across the vane from the inside wall of the housing to the outside wall of the Henke Wheel to obtain the highest possible leverage to maximize the removal of energy from the input force and increase torque at least 100% over prior art whenever a Henke Wheel is used and save energy. The Henke Wheel will offer the same benefit over prior art in the production of energy whenever used in free flowing water or hydroelectric power.

Super Turbine For Water Wind And Concentrated Solar With Accelerated Flow

View page
US Patent:
20150354529, Dec 10, 2015
Filed:
Oct 2, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/504734
Inventors:
Kurt W. Henke - Folsom CA, US
International Classification:
F03D 1/00
Abstract:
My invention relates to turbines used in linear flowing current such as rivers, canals, any ocean current including tidal flow ebb and flood, wind and concentrated solar. It will Accelerate the incoming current when it arrives at the intake chamber with the intensifying flow guide and the second acceleration occurs when the current changes from the large rectangular opening to the smaller round opening of the turbine, and the third acceleration occurs when it flows through the openings in the transition plate and enter the vanes of the turbine. The openings in the transition plate can be of many different sizes to provide the desired ratio to get the accelerated flow speed for a suitable installation site where the existing flow rate is low. The openings in the transition plate extend to the outside wall of the turbine. A plurality of vanes, uniformly spaced around the turbine, and drive an alternator to produce electricity that will be charged in to the grid or to the locale power provider.
