Filed:
Jun 30, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/171626
Inventors:
William Connors - Lexington KY, US
Walter Cousins - Lexington NY, US
Daniel Gagnon - Harrodsburg KY, US

International Classification:
B41J 13/10
B65H 1/04
US Classification:
400624000, 400693000
Abstract:
A media edge guide assembly for use in an imaging apparatus having a media supply source includes a first edge guide portion and a second edge guide portion. The first edge guide portion and the second edge guide portion are arranged to have an axis of rotation passing through the first edge guide portion and the second edge guide portion. The first edge guide portion and the second edge guide portion are laterally interconnected to facilitate movement as a unit in a lateral direction along the axis of rotation, and the first edge guide portion and the second edge guide portion are configured to be rotationally disconnected with respect to the axis of rotation to permit the first edge guide portion to rotate around the axis of rotation independent of the second edge guide portion.

US Patent:
20220249326, Aug 11, 2022
Filed:
Jun 15, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/617378
Inventors:
- Lexington KY, US
Kevin J. MAUDSLEY - Lexington KY, US
International Classification:
A61J 7/00
A61M 5/24
A61J 15/00
A61M 5/315
Abstract:
A syringe for injecting medication into a body includes a barrel having an inner diameter, a plunger for longitudinal movement within the barrel, the plunger having threads along at least a portion thereof for engaging internal threads of a thread ring, and a handle for rotating the plunger relative the barrel. An alternate embodiment of a syringe includes a barrel having internal threads positioned along a first interior wall, a diameter of the internal threads being greater than or equal to a diameter of a second interior wall of the barrel, and a plunger in sealing engagement with the second interior wall having threads for engaging the internal threads of the barrel.

Breast Implant Removal Device And Related Methods

View page
US Patent:
20190388118, Dec 26, 2019
Filed:
Dec 13, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/219308
Inventors:
- Lexington KY, US
Kevin J. Maudsley - Lexington KY, US
International Classification:
A61B 17/34
A61F 2/12
A61B 90/00
Abstract:
A device for removing a breast implant, fill material, and/or a capsule from a patient is provided. The device includes a housing having a distal portion and a proximal portion, and a suction port. Together, the distal and proximal portions define an interior chamber for receiving the breast implant. A ring is attached to an end of the proximal portion and the ring and the end of the proximal portion define an orifice through which the breast implant passes during removal. A related method includes the steps of exposing the breast implant and fill material, positioning a ring attached to an end of a housing against the exposed breast implant and fill material, the ring and the end of the housing defining an orifice through which the breast implant passes during removal, and applying suction to the housing sufficient to draw the breast implant through the orifice.

Nasal Bridle Clip Applier And Related Method

View page
US Patent:
20180015259, Jan 18, 2018
Filed:
Nov 24, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/527742
Inventors:
David S. KIRN - Lexington KY, US
Kevin J. MAUDSLEY - Lexington KY, US
- Lexington KY, US
International Classification:
A61M 25/02
A61M 16/06
Abstract:
A receiver for securing at least one tube in a patient includes a shell operable in a first position for receiving the tube and a second position for securing the tube, and a compressible member supported by the shell for contacting the tube in the second position. A bridle looped around the patient's septum may also be secured in the second position. A system for securing the tube includes a receiver and an applier. The applier supports the receiver in the first position and transitions the receiver from the first position to the second position after the tube is positioned within the receiver. A method of securing a tube includes positioning the tube in a patient, placing a flexible member around the patient's nasal septum, receiving the tube and flexible member in a shell supported by an applier, and operating the applier to move the shell to a closed position.
