View page
US Patent:
8437469, May 7, 2013
Filed:
Jan 25, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/692904
Inventors:
Kevin Earnst - Madison AL, US
Assignee:
Adtran, Inc. - Huntsville AL
International Classification:
H04M 1/00
US Classification:
379412, 37939201
Abstract:
In accordance with a non-limiting example, an electrical protection device includes a fuse housing and a plurality of fuses carried by the fuse housing and arranged in a plurality of Tip/Ring fuse pairs. The Tip/Ring fuse pairs are arranged in vertical and horizontal orientation of Tip/Ring fuse pairs and spaced to each other such that differential crosstalk among the Tip/Ring fuse pairs is cancelled.

Systems And Methods For Reducing Intermodulation Distortion

US Patent:
7821758, Oct 26, 2010
Filed:
Nov 16, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/600659
Inventors:
Daniel M. Joffe - Owens Crossroads AL, US
Kevin Earnst - Madison AL, US
Assignee:
ADTRAN, Inc. - Huntsville AL
International Classification:
H02H 1/04
H02H 3/22
H02H 9/04
US Classification:
361119, 361 56, 361111
Abstract:
Protection circuits for protecting equipment connected to a telecommunication wire pair is disclosed. A protection circuit in one embodiment utilizes a series arrangement of solid state protectors wherein at least some of the solid state protectors are biased. The protection circuit reduces the level of intermodulation distortion in broadband signals that is caused by nonlinear capacitance of solid state protectors.
