Karen Arenson has had two very successful careers in both education and real estate. Having been the Instructional Technology Department Chair at New Trier High School in Winnetka, a high school and junior high school English teacher in Lake Forest, Karen understands the importance of educating buyers and sellers about the real estate process and negotiating strategies. Her own education includes a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and three Masters degrees — a Masters in English from Northwestern University, a Masters of Education in Curriculum Design from DePaul University, and a Masters in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. Karen taught at the Middle School at Lake Forest Country Day School and then high school English at Lake Forest High School for seven years. She then became Department Chair of Instructional Technology at New Trier High School. Today, Karen is managing the Wilmette office of Coldwell Banker. After more than eight years of helping real estate buyers in the city and five years on the North Shore, Karen brings her experiences in education, administration,and real estate together to the benefit of both the agents in her officeand her clients in the marketplace. She is passionate about educating people about the real estate process and working with people to help them identify and obtain their dream home, or helping people maximize the return on their investment in their home. Having lived, taught and worked in Lake Forest, Glencoe, Winnetka and inthree city neighborhoods, Karen is uniquely qualified to help introduce people to the North Shore communities.
