-Client relation and patient charts. -mixing and controlling the administration of the proper vaccinations required per breed and animal type. -Taking basic vitals in patients prior to examination by the attending veterinarian. -Handling blood samples and using them to run CBC's (Complete Blood Count) with an Idexx Hematology device. -Handling blood samples and using them to run General Chemistry and Pre anesthetic diagnostic tests with an Idexx Vet-Test device. -Handling blood samples for distribution to an outside lab (Idexx & Antech). -Ordering Prescription and maintenance diets through Hills Science Diet, and through Royal Canine. -Ordering and maintaining supplies and pharmaceuticals for the office. -Admitting and releasing patients with proper instructions for pre and post operations. -Assisting in surgeries ranging from spay and neuters, ACL rupture repair, orthopedic surgeries, exploratory surgeries, mass removals, and other simple to extensive procedures. -Surgery preparations and sterilization procedures. -Maintaining and flushing IV therapy patients. -Suture and penrose tube removal -Manual and Digital X-ray operation. Both taking and developing x-rays with proper procedures. -Operating Cornerstone veterinary management software. -Technical support within the office. -Managed employees and employee scheduling. -Created and managed all clinic documents.
