Cellular Phone With Built In Optical Projector For Display Of Data

View page
US Patent:
6489934, Dec 3, 2002
Filed:
Jul 7, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/611436
Inventors:
Judah Klausner - New York NY, 10021
International Classification:
G09G 500
US Classification:
345 11, 345 32, 348744
Abstract:
A cellular phone, which is still compact in size and weight, but which also includes a mechanism for displaying received wireless data in its original page format as sent from the original source, thus allowing for the viewing of each original page as a whole page and not as a series of partial pages. The phone also allows the display of received wireless visual data with characters in their true original size, thus allowing for ease of reading and use. The mechanism for displaying data may also be used to display data which is to be transmitted by way of the cellular phone. A cellular phone is provided with an internal optical projector incorporated into the body of the phone so that an original page of visual data can be projected onto a larger surface external to the cellular phone. The external surface is larger than the surface area of the cellular phones own electronic display, and sufficiently large to maintain the original page format and character size. This is accomplished by providing the circuitry inside the cellular phone with the ability to display the received wireless data representing the visual image on the built-in display of the cellular phone using conventional display device drivers, as well as on an external surface utilizing an internal optical projector which then projects the original image onto the external directed surface.

Telephone Answering Device Linking Displayed Data With Recorded Audio Message

View page
US Patent:
55241409, Jun 4, 1996
Filed:
Jun 7, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/480207
Inventors:
Judah Klausner - Sagaponack NY
Robert Hotto - La Jolla CA
Assignee:
Visual Access Technologies, Inc. - Sagaponack NY
International Classification:
H04M 164
H04M 1100
H04M 1506
US Classification:
379 67
Abstract:
A telephone answering device (TAD) which includes a means of intelligently organizing voice messages, associated entered codes such as personal IDs and home telephone numbers, and information stored in the memory of the TAD. These codes or numbers are decoded by means of the caller entering DTMF signals into the telephone which are recognized, recorded and processed by the TAD. When processed with codes and personal information previously entered into the device's memory, the TAD displays the identity of the callers for each message, thus providing a menu of choices, i. e. , a list of callers. This enables the user to access messages in a selective manner based on the identity of the caller. The need to listen to the actual voice messages to determine the caller's identity and the need to listen to the messages sequentially or chronologically is obviated, saving both time and effort. Additionally, because the voice message is also linked to pre-stored additional data in the data base, when hearing a message, one also can view relevant associated information, such as a fax number, etc.

US Patent:
53750187, Dec 20, 1994
Filed:
Jul 17, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/731770
Inventors:
Judah Klausner - Sagaponack NY
Robert Hotto - La Jolla CA
Assignee:
Klausner Patent Technologies - Sagaponack NY
International Classification:
G04C 1102
H04B 7185
US Classification:
368 47
Abstract:
An information retrieval system and method for determining the location of a traveller based upon a comparison between broadcast radiowave frequencies at the location and a table of locations for radio stations which broadcast at those radiowave frequencies. By determining the location, the offset hour for the time zone where the radio station is located may be obtained for correctly displaying the hour on an analog watch. When the watch is moved to a different time zone, the hands are accelerated, forward or backward, until they indicate the local time. The location, such as a city, can also be displayed so that the traveller is apprised of both the correct time and present location automatically.

Telephone Electronic Answering Device

US Patent:
43049680, Dec 8, 1981
Filed:
Sep 24, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/078207
Inventors:
Judah Klausner - New York NY
Robert Hotto - New York NY
Assignee:
Klausner Industries - New York NY
International Classification:
H04M 1110
US Classification:
179 602
Abstract:
A telephone electronic answering device (TEAD), interfaced to the standard telephone mechanism, resembles a pocket calculator in size and shape and receives and records messages sent to it from a caller's telephone. It receives either dual tone frequencies or rotary dial pulses fed from the caller's telephone, converts such signals into the caller's telephone number, searches for the caller's name indicated by the same phone number stored in memory and records the caller's name, telephone number and time of call in memory. The TEAD comprises a case containing telephone signal conversion means for converting dual tone frequencies or rotary dial pulses into phone numbers, memory circuit means for storing a list of phone numbers with their respective names, additional memory circuit means for recording messages consisting of such phone numbers, names and times of messages, read only memory circuit means for programming the operation of the instrument, microprocessor circuit means for controlling the operation of the circuitry and timekeeping means for noting the time at which telephone signals are received by the unit. An alphanumeric display means having a capacity of 10 and preferably at least 12 letters or numbers is provided for displaying phone numbers and names as they are input by the user to be stored in memory list and for displaying retrieved recorded messages sequentially. A keyboard on the case of the TEAD comprises alphanumeric keys for numerals 1 through 10 and letters A through Z together with function keys.

US Patent:
41175425, Sep 26, 1978
Filed:
Jul 7, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/813743
Inventors:
Judah Klausner - New York NY
Robert Hotto - New York NY
International Classification:
G06F 302

Abstract:
An electronic pocket directory is of a size and shape to fit in a user's pocket and resembles an electronic pocket calculator in size and appearance. It comprises a case containing read only memory circuit means for programming operation of the instrument and read/write circuit means dedicated to storing and retrieving telephone numbers, street addresses, appointments and agenda. A keyboard on the case comprises alphanumeric keys for numerals 1 to 0 and letters A to Z together with function keys for inputting and fetching the stored information. The information is retrieved visually by means of an alphanumeric display having a capacity of at least 10 and preferably at least 12 letters or numbers and audibly by means of an audio system. The audio system also includes means for producing an audio signal at any preset time, for example to call attention to an appointment and means for producing telephone dialing tones whereby tones representing telephone numbers can be fed directly into the telephone system. The instrument further includes calculating circuit means for performing mathematical calculations and time keeping means for displaying current time and for presetting future times for agenda and appointments.
