View page
US Patent:
20040103622, Jun 3, 2004
Filed:
Nov 25, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/723525
Inventors:
Joanne Nor - Rancho Santa Fe CA, US
International Classification:
B68B001/04
US Classification:
054/006100
Abstract:
A magnetic equine hood for applying magnetic therapy to an equine neck, cervical vertebrae, atlas, axis, head, back, and shoulders is disclosed. A head portion shaped to substantially conform to an equine neck is attached to a neck portion defining a volume substantially conforming to an equine neck. Magnetic strips are strategically coupled to the neck portion to create magnetic fields radiating towards areas where therapeutic treatment is desired to increase circulation in those areas. For instance, magnetic strips may be detachably coupled to the neck portion on either side of a cervical vertebrae. Additionally, an optional atlas and axis magnetic strip can be detachably coupled in position along the equine neck to create a magnetic field radiating towards the equine atlas, axis, and poll. Moreover, the hood can be permanently or detachably coupled to an equine blanket that may also use magnetic therapy.

US Patent:
60620080, May 16, 2000
Filed:
Aug 12, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/133506
Inventors:
Joanne H. Nor - Rancho Santa Fe CA
Assignee:
Norfields Corporation - Los Angeles CA
International Classification:
A01L 1500
US Classification:
54 82
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying magnetic therapy to a horse's foot. A bottom panel is shaped consistent with the shape of an equine foot. A side wall is coupled along one edge to the bottom panel. A heel flap extends from the bottom panel and may rotate relative thereto such that the heel flap covers the heels of the foot when worn. At least one of, and preferably all of, the heel flap, the bottom panel, and the side wall contain magnetic material, which creates a magnetic field that acts on the foot when the apparatus is worn.
