Skills:
Mr. Mausner is a project manager with 10 years experience managing environmental investigations, evaluating potential contaminant source areas, identifying and assessing potential risks to receptors and developing risk management options. He has saved clients hundreds of thousands of dollars through extensive negotiations with regulatory agencies, and has been instrumental in helping clients obtain grants and tax credits for performing remediation on their sites. Mr. Mausner also has considerable leadership experience including serving as field supervisor on the first remediation project in the world to utilize a combination of surfactant-enhanced in-situ chemical oxidation and pulsation injection technology, resulting in destruction of over 90% of contaminant mass. His leadership experience also includes extensive communications with clients and building long-term business relationships, coordinating and managing subcontractors, large-scale cost estimating, long term management of large development projects, and remedial design and implementation, including oversight of installation of vapor barriers and sub-slab depressurization systems. He has also written many remedial action work plans, remedial investigation reports, and remedial closure reports for Brownfields sites, Phase I and Phase II site assessments, tank removal reports, well installation reports, indoor and outdoor air assessment reports, and other professional reports for public agencies and private developers, property owners, and other clients in the tri-state area and New England. He also has considerable field experience including management of large-scale drilling, sampling, and air monitoring operations, performing groundwater and soil sampling, soil vapor sampling, air sampling, aquifer testing, and using photoionization detectors (PIDs), 5-gas meters, dust monitors, mercury vapor analyzers, and well-sampling equipment. Mr. Mausner has also prepared large-scale cross sections, boring logs, geotechnical logs, well construction logs, contour maps, and groundwater models. He is experienced in sample data management, statistical analysis and interpretation using multiple computer programs.
