Lamp For Refracting Light And Junction Box

View page
US Patent:
62478338, Jun 19, 2001
Filed:
Jul 22, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/358953
Inventors:
Jerome Neustadt - Florida NY
International Classification:
B60Q 100
US Classification:
362370
Abstract:
A lamp fixture having a top housing with slightly slanted side walls, a faceted rectangular glass portion extending from the housing and held affixed to the housing by a door, and a junction box and an extrusion plate for mounting the fixture to an electrical or junction box in a building. The extrusion plate is mounted to a sidewall of the housing. The extrusion plate includes J or hooked shaped end portions forming cavities therein. The junction box includes ridges. The ridges are slightly angled to match the angle of the sidewalls of the fixture housing. The fixture and mounted extrusion plate can then be lifted above the junction box, and the cavities of the extrusion plate slid over the ridges of the junction box. The top surface of the extrusion plate is slightly angled to compensate for the angle of the ridges, so that the top surfaces of the extrusion plate and the junction box are flush with one another. The wire connections are made and pushed into the junction box.

US Patent:
6247832, Jun 19, 2001
Filed:
Jul 22, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/358954
Inventors:
Jerome Neustadt - Florida NY
International Classification:
F21V 1700
US Classification:
362356
Abstract:
A glass dome holder having an upper and a lower ring assembly for placing on the top and bottom of a glass dome. A plurality of spoke members connect the upper and lower ring assembly surrounding the glass dome and forming a unified structure. The upper ring assembly includes a J-bracket assembly including a J-bracket. A pair of connecting brackets are provided for connecting to a customer supplied U-bracket attached to a high bay unit. A socket and bracket assembly can be adjustably fixed to the connecting brackets. The hook portion of the J-bracket can be releasably fixed to the connecting bracket.

Electronics Layout Of An Exit Sign

View page
US Patent:
61061263, Aug 22, 2000
Filed:
Oct 6, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/167016
Inventors:
Jerome Neustadt - Florida NY
International Classification:
F21V 902
US Classification:
362 20
Abstract:
An electronic layout of an electronic exit sign, that encompasses the entire electronic packaging and lighting inside the exit sign enclosure. The layout includes brackets that function both as a method for holding LEDs for illuminating the sign, and as enclosures for enclosing the electronics of a controller and a power unit. The LEDs are mounted to the brackets and held by nylon buttons. A battery pack for battery backup and a battery backup self-test switch is mounted to a releasable plate. This allows the battery backup feature to be an option and also allows for easy replacement of discharged batteries. The LEDs are spaced in such a way as to provide uniform lighting to both the exit sign and a chevron symbol. The LEDs are positioned so that the same unit can drive either a single or double face exit.

Electric Light Globe Hub

US Patent:
50918362, Feb 25, 1992
Filed:
Jun 3, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/709358
Inventors:
Jerome Neustadt - Florida NY
International Classification:
F21S 18
US Classification:
362391
Abstract:
A globe hub for a casual electric light fixture comprising a cap and a globe holder connectable at a point of joinder by fasteners. Electrical wires extend into the interior of the hub through access openings located at the point of joinder, being connected to a lamp socket held by the globe holder. Wire gripping surfaces extend from the interior of the cap and the globe holder, engaging and anchoring the wiring securely within the hub and allowing stresses imposed thereon to be evenly distributed, thereby avoiding damage to the electrical connection.
