Abstract:
A urethane (meth)acrylate metal salt obtained by reacting (A) one or more polyisocyanates, (B) one or more hydroxy functional (meth)acrylates, and (C) one or more metal salt polyols which are the reaction product of a metal oxide and a half ester containing a hydroxy group and a carboxylic acid group. Processes of preparing such salts and polymers prepared from such salts are also disclosed. The polymers are useful for coating and adhesive compositions prepared by radiation or peroxide curing processes.

Abstract:
Compositions comprising maleinized imide polymer and α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic, the polymer selected from the group consisting of butadiene homopolymer, butadiene copolymers, isoprene homopolymer, isoprene copolymers. and poly(maleic anhydride-co-alkenyl benzenes), are disclosed. Maleinized imide resin, optionally in solution and optionally comprising metallic salt of α,β-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, is used to treat fabric and thereby improve fabric to rubber adhesion. The resultant treated fabric and fabric-rubber composite are also disclosed.

Terminally-functional low molecular weight alkoxylated polybutadiene (meth)acrylates are used to improve the physical properties of elastomeric compositions cured in the presence of at least one free-radical generating compound selected from peroxides, percarbonates or azo compounds. The elastomers are natural or synthetic, or mixtures thereof. Reinforcing fillers may also be present.
