System And Method For Controlling Pressure Ratio Of A Compressor

View page
US Patent:
20130167810, Jul 4, 2013
Filed:
Dec 28, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/338783
Inventors:
Jayant K. Roplekar - Peoria IL, US
Travis E. Barnes - Metamora IL, US
Nathan P. Atterberry - Washington IL, US
Keith N. E. Troisi - Washington IL, US
International Classification:
F02B 33/00
US Classification:
123564
Abstract:
A system for controlling a pressure ratio of an output pressure to an input pressure of a compressor associated with an engine is disclosed. The system includes a controller configured to receive signals indicative of an input pressure associated with a compressor, and receive signals indicative of an output pressure associated with the compressor. The controller is further configured to compare a compressor pressure ratio of the output pressure to the input pressure with a threshold pressure ratio, and control a bypass valve in flow communication with the compressor based on the comparison.

Fuel Injector Wiring Harness Tray

Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc. - Peoria IL
International Classification:
F02M 51/00
Abstract:
A tray configured to support a fuel injector wiring harness is disclosed. The tray may include a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a bottom wall extending between the first end and the second end, and the bottom wall may be configured to support the fuel injector wiring harness above a rocker arm support. Moreover, the tray may include a tab outwardly extending from the tray, and the tab may include a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and an aperture extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. The aperture may be configured to circumscribe a stud upwardly extending from the rocker arm support.

Wire-Routing Assembly For An Injector Harness

View page
US Patent:
20170098926, Apr 6, 2017
Filed:
Dec 21, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/386469
Inventors:
- Peoria IL, US
Jayant K. Roplekar - Peoria IL, US
Seth C. Studnicka - Chillicothe IL, US
Craig Bolyard - New Braunfels TX, US
Brandon Neuhoff - Peoria IL, US
Assignee:
Caterpillar Inc. - Peoria IL
International Classification:
H02G 3/04
B60R 16/02
H01B 7/00
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a wire-routing assembly for routing an injector harness along an inner portion of a valve cover base in an engine. The wire-routing assembly includes a guard, which in turn includes an attachment portion and a routing portion. The attachment portion includes a first end, a second end, and an intermediate section. The first end and the second end of the attachment portion are attached to the inner portion of the valve cover base. The routing portion extends from the intermediate section in a direction substantially perpendicular to the attachment portion. The routing portion defines a clearance space between the routing portion and the inner portion of the valve cover base. At least a portion of the injector harness is routed through the clearance space, such that the routing portion avoids contact between a valve spring and the injector harness.
