Mass Spectrometer With A Plurality Of Ionization Probes

View page
US Patent:
6501073, Dec 31, 2002
Filed:
Oct 4, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/684744
Inventors:
Iain C. Mylchreest - Gilroy CA
Tina A. E. Hemenway - San Jose CA
Richard E. Hartford - Aromas CA
Assignee:
Thermo Finnigan LLC - San Jose CA
International Classification:
H01J 4926
US Classification:
250288, 250423 R
Abstract:
A multiple sample mass spectrometer having multiple atmospheric pressure ionization probes, each forming an ion spray with passages associated with each of said ion sprays for introducing sample ions into the mass spectrometer for analysis. The flow of ions through selected passages is selectively blocked whereby to permit analysis of ions from selected ionization probes.

International Classification:
B01D 5944
H01J 4900
US Classification:
250282
Abstract:
An electrospray ion source having a capillary tube for directing ions from an ionizing region to an analyzing region including a skimmer in which the capillary tube is oriented to cause undesolvated droplets to strike the skimmer.

Multilayer Flow Electrospray Ion Source Using Improved Sheath Liquid

View page
US Patent:
51226707, Jun 16, 1992
Filed:
May 17, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/702235
