Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing utilities at a selected location of a work station. The apparatus has a housing that has an upper peripheral portion and a pair of oppositely positioned sidewalls that extend downwardly from the upper peripheral portion. The housing defines a spatial region between the sidewalls. The housing has an opening that is bounded by the upper peripheral portion and in communication with the spatial region. An inner support structure is attached to and between the sidewalls of the housing and located within the spatial region of the housing. The inner support structure has sidewalls, a bottom portion and a pair of lengthwise panel members that define a spatial region of the inner support structure. The inner support structure has a generally ā€œVā€ shape cross-section wherein the lengthwise panels are angulated with respect to the bottom portion and away from each other. A utility receptacle module is attached to each lengthwise panel.

Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a utility receptacle apparatus for use with a work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus has a mounting member that has a frame which has a central opening and a peripheral portion that extends about the central opening. At least one fastening device is attached to the mounting member for attaching the mounting member to a work surface. The utility receptacle apparatus also has a base positioned within the central opening of the frame and attached to the frame. The base has a body portion and a utility receptacle member that is attached to the body portion. The utility receptacle member has a raised face that is above the top surface of the peripheral portion of the frame. At least one utility receptacle is connected to the raised face of the utility receptacle member. The utility receptacle apparatus further includes a hinge device that has first section attached to the base and a second section that pivots with respect to the first section.
