Cellular Telecommunications System And Methods Of Monitoring, Control And Communications

View page
US Patent:
20070155375, Jul 5, 2007
Filed:
Jan 5, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/326262
Inventors:
Thomas Kappel - Naperville IL, US
Harold Asbridge - Rowlett TX, US
Douglas Gribben - Murphy TX, US
Alexander Gordy - Highland Park IL, US
Kevin Linehan - Rowlett TX, US
Bobby Webb - Allen TX, US
International Classification:
H04Q 7/20
US Classification:
455422100
Abstract:
A cellular telecommunications system and methods of monitoring, control and communication within such a system. In one aspect redundancy is provided by a second mode of communication for control signals should the primary mode be unavailable. In one embodiment a secondary wireless network is provided in case of failure of a backhaul link. This allows the control of ancillary equipment in case of unavailability of the primary mode of communication. In another aspect continuity of telephony signals may be provided in a cellular communications system by utilising one or more wireless link between base stations to convey telephony signals normally conveyed via a backhaul link.

Cellular Base Station Subsystem

View page
US Patent:
20070161348, Jul 12, 2007
Filed:
Jan 6, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/327764
Inventors:
Douglas Gribben - Murphy TX, US
Harold Asbridge - Rowlett TX, US
International Classification:
H04B 7/185
H04B 1/38
US Classification:
455013300, 455561000
Abstract:
A method of operating a cellular base station subsystem such as a smart bias tee. The method comprising: modulating a first control data signal to generate a first modulated carrier signal; multiplexing said first modulated carrier signal with a first RF antenna signal onto a feed line; demultiplexing a second RF antenna signal and a second modulated carrier signal from said feed line; demodulating the second modulated carrier signal to generate a second control data signal; analyzing at least one of said signals to generate diagnostic data; and outputting said diagnostic data. The subsystem also has an addressable memory adapted to provide data on request from said subsystem.

Pet Locating Device

US Patent:
20080061990, Mar 13, 2008
Filed:
Mar 6, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/714316
Inventors:
Stan Milnes - McKinney TX, US
Demitrius Nelon - Watauga TX, US
George W. Mills - Sachse TX, US
Harold E. Asbridge - Rowlett TX, US
John M. LaTronico - Dallas TX, US
Keni D. LaTronico - Dallas TX, US
International Classification:
H04B 7/185
G08B 23/00
G08B 1/08
US Classification:
3405731, 34235707, 34053913
Abstract:
A pet location system having a pet locator with GPS capabilities in communication with a wireless network such that a user interface accessible on a common computer network or by telephone is provided. The pet location system includes access to the user interface via a computer on the common computer network or via a telecommunications network.

Array Antenna And A Method Of Determining An Antenna Beam Attribute

View page
US Patent:
20080252522, Oct 16, 2008
Filed:
Apr 13, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/735091
Inventors:
Harold E. Asbridge - Rowlett TX, US
International Classification:
H01Q 3/01
H01Q 21/06
US Classification:
342368, 343893
Abstract:
A method of determining one or more attribute of an antenna beam based on measuring phase and/or amplitude differences at different points in a feed network. By using lookup tables based on actual measurements of antenna beam attributes for phase and/or amplitude differences at different points in a feed network computation may be simplified. The method enables a relatively inexpensive control circuit to be employed while providing accurate measurement of antenna beam attributes.
