Air Impingement Conveyor Oven

View page
US Patent:
8210844, Jul 3, 2012
Filed:
Oct 27, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/259132
Inventors:
Ronald D. Wolfe - Wichita KS, US
Frederick Hausler - Emporia KS, US
Brent Staver - Maize KS, US
Assignee:
Wolfe Electric, Inc. - Wichita KS
International Classification:
F27B 9/06
US Classification:
432144, 432145, 432152, 99443 C
Abstract:
An air impingement conveyor oven incorporating a baking case having an interior space bordered by opposing longitudinal walls, opposing lateral walls, a ceiling, and a floor; an air plenum partitioning the baking case's interior space into an air impingement space and an air return space, the air plenum having at least a first intake port opening at the air return space, the air plenum further having a plurality of air impingement ducts extending into and opening at the air impingement space; a passive flow conduit opening the baking case, the passive flow conduit having an output end positioned at the return air space; a combustible fuel injector and igniter connected operatively to the passive flow conduit; and an air impelling fan mounted operatively within the baking case's interior space for recirculating impingement air from the air impingement space into the air return space, for drawing outside combustion air through the passive flow conduit, and for driving the air through the at least first intake port into the air plenum.

Swing Clamp Apparatus With Spring Biased Cam Assembly

View page
US Patent:
20050206059, Sep 22, 2005
Filed:
Oct 13, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/964289
Inventors:
Frederick Hausler - Emporia KS, US
International Classification:
B23Q003/08
US Classification:
269024000
Abstract:
An improved shiftable clamp () adapted for connection to a fixture () is provided, wherein the clamp () is selectively operable to engage and hold a workpiece () to the fixture (). The clamp () includes a tubular body () and a piston () telescopically received within the body (). Movement of the piston () is guided and controlled by means of a cam assembly () including a cam track () formed in the piston () and an associated cam track follower ball () mounted on the body (). A spring unit () is also provided on the body () and includes a spring () serving to self-center and bias the ball () into the track (). This insures that the ball () smoothly rotates during movement of piston () and reduces wear and premature clamp failure.

Valve Having Provision For Replacing Stem Packing While The Valve Is Under Pressure

View page
US Patent:
57432880, Apr 28, 1998
Filed:
Mar 12, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/815722
Inventors:
Bradley W. Mosman - Shawnee OK
Frederick A. Hausler - Emporia KS
Assignee:
ERC Industries, Inc. - Houston TX
International Classification:
F16K 4104
F16K 4118
F16K 4300
US Classification:
137315
Abstract:
A valve, having provision for replacing stem packing while the valve is under pressure, has a valve body with a flow passageway through it, a gate that is vertically positioned to open and close the passageway, a stem extending upwardly from the valve body, the lower end being attached to the gate, a bonnet secured to the valve body by which the valve body open top is closed, the stem extending through an opening in the bonnet, a packing box slidably positioned in an opening in the top of the bonnet and receiving the stem, a back seat ring is positioned within the opening of the bonnet below the packing box and having a circumferential sealing surface surrounding the valve stem, the valve stem having an integral enlarged diameter shoulder so that when the stem is in the full upward position the packing box can be moved downwardly in the direction towards valve body forcing the back seat ring sealing surface to seal against the stem shoulder formed on the valve stem to permit packing retained within the packing box to be removed and replaced while the valve is under pressure.

Retract Clamp Apparatus

View page
US Patent:
59798866, Nov 9, 1999
Filed:
May 18, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/080847
Inventors:
Roger L. Craft - Emporia KS
Frederick A. Hausler - Emporia KS
James V. Mascola - Emporia KS
Assignee:
Vektek, Inc. - Emporia KS
International Classification:
B23Q 308
US Classification:
269 24
Abstract:
A retract clamp (20) utilizes three clamp arm retraction enhancement mechanisms (26, 28, 63) to increase clamp arm (24) retraction consistency. The first retraction enhancement mechanism (26) is a bifurcated piston having a first piston member (68) and a second piston member (70). If the first piston member (68) becomes tilted and caught, the second piston member (70) continues to move allowing the first piston member (68) to right itself. The second retraction enhancement mechanism (28) comprises a clamp arm guide mechanism having a base (82), a pusher (84), and a plurality of resilient members (110-124) interposed between the base (82) and the pusher (84) to bias the pusher (84) against the clamp arm (24) and align the clamp arm (24) with a clamp arm receiving area (40) defined in a clamp arm holder (22). The third clamp arm retraction enhancement mechanism comprises a lift surface (63) on the clamp arm (24). The lift surface 63 is oriented substantially perpendicular to the axis of the clamp arm (24) for upward retraction of the clamp arm outer end 54 substantially prior to axial retraction of the clamp arm (24).
