Method For Sensing Applied Force For Controlling The Material Removal Rate For A Flat Fine Machined Surface

View page
US Patent:
20090126512, May 21, 2009
Filed:
Nov 20, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/943358
Inventors:
Michael A. Betz - Huxley IA, US
Eric D. Bretey - Rowan IA, US
Assignee:
SAUER-DANFOSS INC. - Ames IA
International Classification:
G01L 5/00
US Classification:
73862381
Abstract:
A method of adjusting the applied force for controlling the material removal rate on a work piece. A machining device having a load providing device, a force transducer and a force applying device wherein the force-applying device provides a load to the work piece to remove material. The force applied to the work piece by the load providing device and the position of the load providing device are sensed and transmitted to a master controller that adjusts the force applied to the work piece based upon these readings.

Cylinder Block Assembly For A Hydraulic Device

View page
US Patent:
20110283881, Nov 24, 2011
Filed:
May 24, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/785699
Inventors:
Eric C. Bretey - Boone IA, US
Gregory H. Knop - Nevada IA, US
Assignee:
Sauer-Danfoss Inc. - Ames IA
International Classification:
F01B 31/28
US Classification:
921691
Abstract:
A cylinder block assembly for a hydraulic device. The cylinder block assembly includes a cylinder block with a plurality of piston bores disposed therethrough. Circumferential grooves are disposed around the piston bore such that an elastic bushing may be disposed within the piston bore using a slip fit so that when the elastic material deforms the material deforms into the circumferential groove. By deforming into the circumferential groove the elastic bushing is locked in place and axial movement of the bushing in the bore is prevented.
