Methods And Compositions For Angioproliferative Disorder Treatment

View page
US Patent:
20020192206, Dec 19, 2002
Filed:
May 5, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/849115
Inventors:
Emil Kozarov - Gainesville FL, US
Ann Progulske-Fox - Gainesville FL, US
International Classification:
A61K048/00
A61K038/48
US Classification:
424/094630, 514/044000
Abstract:
An invention is provided whereby methods and compositions having angiostatic activity are utilized to treat angioproliferative disorders, to prevent conception, and to treat a wide variety of pathologies in which it is desirable to limit the production of new vasculature. Specifically, compositions containing proteinases derived from the pathogen capable of treating cancer through disruption of cell-cell and cell-matrix adhesion bonds associated with malignant tumor proliferation are disclosed.
