Interests:
artistically speaking: quirky compositions, people, contrasting colors, psychological imagery/images, whimsy, fantasy, the line between real and unreal, exploring definitions of real and unreal. Other interests include: psychology, feminism, riot grrrl, the elderly, listening to music, poetry, writing, creative non-fiction, reading, art therapy, conceptual art, performance art, medieval art, folk art, outsider out, neo-Hoodism, philosophy, religions, mysticism, shamanism, and, of course, taking pictures!... I usually shoot color digital but I want to get into the black and white darkroom

1999- merit scholarship to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 2000-, among 3 other students chosen to study for a semester at Parsons' School of Design of the New School University, 2001-- image chosen to be published in a Polaroid publication on Passion and Profession , 2002- received Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, --short story published in Another Chicago Magazine, 2006-- received Master of Fine Arts degree in photography from Columbia College Chicago
