Self-Contained Modular Deployment System

View page
US Patent:
20130074836, Mar 28, 2013
Filed:
Nov 19, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/681165
Inventors:
Danko A. Kobziar - Williamsville NY, US
Duard Charles Bennett - Kenmore NY, US
Assignee:
AVOX SYSTEMS INC. - Lancaster NY
International Classification:
A62B 18/08
A62B 7/08
A62B 7/14
US Classification:
12820226, 12820621, 12820525, 29428
Abstract:
An apparatus for deploying oxygen masks that includes a pre-packaged modular system that does not require manual repacking of oxygen masks by aircraft technicians. The cartridge is for use with a manifold having a passageway in fluid communication with a source of breathable gas. The cartridge includes an end wall, a sidewall extending from the end wall and terminating at a distal end adjacent to an opening. A flexible member defines a chamber inside the cartridge. The chamber is in fluid communication with the passageway when the cartridge is coupled to the manifold. The flexible member has an outlet. A mask assembly is disposed inside the cartridge. The mask assembly has a hose coupled to the outlet of the flexible member. A cover is removably attached to the distal end of the at least one side wall.

System And Method For An Oxygen System Alarm

View page
US Patent:
20130133647, May 30, 2013
Filed:
Mar 9, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/415948
Inventors:
John A. Ratajczak - Lancaster NY, US
Danko A. Kobziar - Williamsville NY, US
International Classification:
A62B 7/00
US Classification:
12820222
Abstract:
The present invention may be embodied as a system and/or a computer-based method for determining safe operation of a breathing gas system comprising the step of receiving a present oxygen concentration value from an oxygen concentration sensor. The method further comprises the step of receiving, at the computer, a present altitude value from an altimeter of the aircraft and using the computer to calculate an alarm flow rate, where the alarm flow rate is a function of the present oxygen concentration value and the present altitude value. The method may further comprise the step of receiving, at the computer, a present flow value from a flow meter, where the present flow value represents the rate of flow of breathing gas to the user. The method may comprise the step of comparing the calculated alarm flow rate to the received present flow value to determine a safe operation of the oxygen system.

Bi-Directional Valve

View page
US Patent:
20080223457, Sep 18, 2008
Filed:
Feb 7, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/069031
Inventors:
Danko A. Kobziar - Williamsville NY, US
Steven M. SanFilippo - Lancaster NY, US
International Classification:
F16K 17/26
US Classification:
137493
Abstract:
A bi-directional valve having a housing with at least one internal gasket contact surface. A spring holds the plate, flapper and gasket against the internal gasket contact surface of the housing. When a predetermined pressure acts on the plate and flapper, the plate, flapper and gasket move away from the gasket contact surface to allow flow through the bi-directional valve in a first direction. To flow in the opposite direction the plate and gasket abut against the housing and the flapper opens to allow flow in an opposite direction. The same flow path is used for flow in either direction through the bi-directional valve.

US Patent:
20150369689, Dec 24, 2015
Filed:
Jun 20, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/310241
Inventors:
- Hatfield PA, US
Danko Kobziar - Lansdale PA, US
Jim Berneski - Warrington PA, US
International Classification:
G01M 3/02
F16L 55/11
Abstract:
A gripper for a test or isolation plug is provided. The gripper includes at least one gripper segment having a pipe or tube confronting surface with a plurality of separate rows of gripper teeth longitudinally-spaced apart on the surface. Each of the separate rows of gripper teeth comprising an alternating array of individual tips and gaps such that each row is serrated along its length.
