She received her MS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan, the top engineering school in Italy. After graduating she moved to California in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she had a very successful career working for 10 years as Mechanical Engineer in the Synchrotron Radiation and X-ray Imaging fields. She still runs a consulting business in Mechanical Engineering. Daniela speaks fluently English and Italian. She also speaks and understands French.
